Elisabeth's POV
Everything was just fine. That was until Ryan decided to take a way that most certainly didn't lead towards his house. He pulled into the woods, making my suspicion rise even more. I clutched my gun tighter to me, preparing myself for the harsh reality of what was about to happen.

I knew I shouldn't have come. I knew something was wrong the very minute I saw these guys. This was the day they thought they were going to end my life. Too bad I wasn't going to let them.

Ryan stopped in middle of the nowhere, stepping out of his car. I mirrored his actions, pulling my gun out and pointing it in his direction.

"So this is why you brought me here ha Ryan? You wanted to kill me since the very day you saw me, I knew it! Why did you-"

"Elisabeth, will you just shut up?!" He yelled, successfully capturing my attention. "Just follow me for Christ sake" he said, turning around and walking ahead. I followed behind him, my gun still pointing in his direction.

About three minutes later, we arrived something that totally took me by surprise.

It is understandable to take someone in middle of the woods if you want to assassinate them, but it's another thing to take someone to a fancy looking mansion to murder them. It wasn't even the creepy type of old mansion that looked haunted. It was a genuinely nice looking mansion. Scratch that, it was a gorgeous looking mansion pulled straight out of a magazine.

What the actual hell?

Maybe I was wrong. Perhaps they were bringing me to meet their gang leader, and this was some sort of criminal gang wanting to make connections with the police to get away with shit.

Ain't gonna happen buddy.

Ryan caught my awe-struck expression towards the mansion and chuckled slightly until I focused back on him, my gun still ready to pull the trigger.

"Elisabeth, will you please put down the gun? Look, I promised you, I'm not going to hurt you, I would never. Beyond these walls is where the truth lies." I squinted my eyes, trying to look deep into his facial expression to tell if he was lying. He wasn't.

"Fine, let's go in then" I finished, lowering the gun, but still holding it tight in my hand.

I advanced ahead, following his footsteps until he pushed the grand door open and walked inside.

The interior was decorated in a traditional fashion. Ornaments, pictures and paintings were covering the area. We crossed a large kitchen, walking straight into what I assumed was the living room. Ryan made his way towards one of the couches, seating himself down. After a minute of hesitation and confusion, I mirrored his actions, seating myself right in front of him. Not a minute later, Jonathan came into view, not taking me utterly by surprise.

"You wanted to give me answers, well I'm waiting. Begin" I commanded, getting impatient by the minute.

Jonathan and Ryan looked between themselves for the next minute, as if having a mental conversation before Ryan sighed, facing me again.

"Alright, whatever we are going to tell you, you can't tell anyone, and you can't freak out. Got it?"

"Yeah" They looked at me hesitantly before continuing.

"Do you believe in fate?" Ryan suddenly asked me out of the blue.

"I'm not here for a philosophy class Ryan, get to the-"

"Just answer the question damnit!" he exclaimed, once again, shutting me up.

"No" I answered simply. He nodded again, his nervousness increasing even more.

"Well this is going to be harder than I thought" he muttered to himself before facing me again. "There is a reason why I approached you at the club the first time we met. There is a reason why we picked you for our case. There is a reason-"

"I get the point Ryan, move on" I commented, getting frustrated by the minute.

"You see, we... we are not normal-"

"No surprise there" I interrupted

"No, not in that way. Elisabeth, we aren't exactly fully human. Before you start laughing your ass off, I'll give you the rest of the details. The same way you have a God or Goddess, so do we, the moon Goddess, our creator. We are divided into packs; each pack has their Alpha, Beta and Luna. In other words the leader, the second in command and the Alpha female. Every one of us is given a mate, a soul mate that is destined by the moon Goddess. Our mate is the other part of our soul; I know that sounds cliché but its true. Once you find your mate, there isn't anything you wouldn't do for them. They become your everything and anything. Elisabeth we're-" knowing what they were going to say, I cut off their useless bullshit.

"I'm leaving-"

"No, listen up"

"I didn't come here for this bullshit"

"Wait!" I continued walking, making my way towards the door, but before I could, the sound of ripping was heard and in an instant, a large figure jumped over my tiny frame, blocking the door.

But it wasn't a human.

It was a wolf.

A big, giant, black, wolf.

My eyes widened in complete and utter surprise, my mouth dropped open and my mind was an absolute mess.

I had to be dreaming.

This cannot be happening right now.

This is not real.

This is not real.

I continued chanting the words in my head, when in the next instant, the wolf was no longer a wolf, but a naked human. Ryan.

Predicting his moves, Jonathan threw him a pair of shorts that he calmly put on before walking towards me, making me move three steps backwards.

He stopped moving, noticing my discomfort.

"T-this...no....it's impossible" I concluded, my hands lacing into my hair.

"I understand it's a lot to take in Elisabeth, but this is the truth. You are my mate, this is my pack, the Red Moon pack, I'm the Alpha, this is my Beta Jonathan, and you are my Luna"

I faced away from him and started muttering to myself.

"This is impossible, I'm losing my mind" I then faced him, realizing something. "That case you came to me with. Is Elvis Brewster even a real person?" I questioned, my frustration getting the best of me.

"Yes he is, except..."

"Except what?" There was a pause before someone descended from the stairs behind me, making me turn around instantly.

My eyes flew behind me, zooming in on the person approaching us. The man didn't have to make an introduction, because I already knew who he was.

"Elvis" I stated, my mind putting all the pieces of the puzzle together.

"Hey there Luna" he slowly replied, his hands in tucked neatly in his pocket.

"Elisabeth, you have to understand that I can't-"

"I need you to take me home" I cut him off, not being able to take any of this.

"You can't tell-"

"And I won't Ryan, I promised you that, but I need to go home right now." A moment of silence filled the air before he nodded, escorting me out the house into his car.

Whatthe hell have I gotten myself into?
