I know it's been a while sorry.

Blurb:
Laura's life has not all been good. All her relationships ended in disasters. Her life wasn't that great either. She had lost her father when she was really young. She grew up with her single mother who worked long and hard hours through the day.

Laura's neighbor and classmate, Ross has a crush on her. Laura likes him as well, but she vowed not to love again after everything she loved had left her. But Ross, on the other hand, is determined to change Laura's mind and make her his.

Ross's POV

'Dear Diary,

Ross has been my neighbor since the beginning of high school. This year is my last year being neighbors with him and his family. After this year, senior year, I'm moving to California with my mother. He's going to be devastated, but we have no choice. I know he has feelings for me, but I want him to get over me. I have feelings for him as well, but it's too late now. I hope one day, he'll find the love of his life and spend the rest of his life with her happily.

Mother is finally getting a good job the pays well enough to support both of us. She no longer has to work three jobs.

Even I work and help her, but it's still not enough. This opportunity in California is our only chance to have a good life without having to struggle as much. Aunt Jeanette is helping us get on our feet while we're in California. She has already bought an apartment for us to live in. I'm going to miss Colorado, but it's the only not to see my dear mother struggle so much. It's now time for school.

Kisses,
Laura.'

As I'm reading her last diary entry, I can't help but let the tears fall. Laura and her mother left for California a month ago. They left at night so no one would suspect anything. But the next day when we saw the 'for sale' sign for her house, we all got worried.

We tried calling her and her mother, but they never picked up. It wasn't until yesterday that I got a package from Laura. She had sent me her old diary, that she would never let anyone touch, a picture of the two of us with writing on the back.

The past month, when I heard they moved, I started to save money. I've saved up enough money so I could go to California. I have to go see Laura. I need to tell her how I feel and tell her I love her. My parents are helping me with the trip to California. They've chipped in a little for my plane ticket to go there and back home.

Today's the day I'm going to California. I've done some investigating and I learned that Laura and her mother live in L.A. in the valley.

I keep reading Laura's diary the whole plane ride. I miss her so much, having her diary is like having her with me. This girl, that I've known for three years, my best friend, and the love of my life moved to have a better life with her mother. She's gone through so much.

I'm so nervous. I'm right in front of her apartment. I managed to find where she lived. I knock on the door. It took a while until there was an answer. The door finally opens and I see the person I've missed the last month.

Ross: Laur (I smile and hug her)

Laura: oh my gosh Ross, what are you doing here?! (She tightens her arms around me. She buries her head in my chest)
