Chapter 1

Lauren's POV
- Friday 5:00 a.m. May 25, 2030
- Cypress creek highschool: 1 week before graduation

I wake up to the BLARING alarm clock. "Uuggh" I thought to myself. "Why can't graduation come faster so I don't have to wake up so early to go to school. You know what Lauren you can do this everyone else does this too so why is it a problem for you." I continued in my thoughts until I felt one of the painful stings in my arm. "Son of b**ch" I cursed in under my breath but I shook it off and continued my normal morning routine. So I made my bed, took a shower, put on my uniform for school, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, and I was ready for school.

I was deeop in my thoughts until I got a really strong shock. "OWWW!" I felt an EXCRUCIATING pain in my arm tears started to fall. "At least no one can see them through the mask" I thought as I walked to school.

I arrived at school at 6 a.m. Like everyone else. I met up with my friend her name is Normani she like my best friend but I can't call her that because we aren't allowed to have any best friends. When I got to Normani she was talking to this girl I didn't know her but she sure was breath- taking. Her voice was one of the most amazing things I've ever heard. I couldn't stop staring at the girl. I was brought back to reality when Normani gave me a rib breaking hug when she realized I was there. During the hug the girl stood there looking at me until she got shocked by the implant, what could she be thinking I thought to myself. After Normani got off of me she introduced me to her friend.

Normani's POV

"Lauren this is Camila. Camila this is Lauren." I said as they said hi to each other. I saw Lauren looking at Camila when she got to us she was looking at her like if Lauren eyes were magnets and Camila a big piece of metal. I could tell she was in deep thought so I hugged her tight so that she stop thinking before she could get shocked.

This is my first fanfic and I want to get your opinions on whether or not I should continue this even though the first chap. Wasn't that good. But I really want the feed back
