Once Athena was done, discordia flopped lazily on they floor, snoozing peacefully. she slowly rose from the floor trying not to wake discordia. As She trotted out she remembered her mother singing that song to her, it felt like she hadn't heard the song in decades. She peeked her head out of the cave entrance and saw all the pups sleeping on the ground, in cozy leaf blankets, a wolf hovering over each one of them. The Stars hung low tonight, for Athena didn't know what illness this was, or if it was deadly at all. Suddenly she heard a series of unfamiliar howls and foot steps. The bordering wolf pack was coming closer. She howled for her pack to run as fast as they could, but it was too late, the had grabbed beta and were dragging him back to camp, and along with beta missing, the patrol had ran away, and all the warriors and hunters had deep bite marks all over them. Without beta, their pack would die out, and they patrol dogs had all ran away, thinking everyone was gone, the warriors and hunters were helpless, and along with all of this mess, a pack of African wild dogs had recently escaped the zoo, they knew this cause their scout team had seen it happen while patrolling. So Athena gathered up all the wolves, along with her friends and started cleaning and bandaging their wounds, wrapping them in thick leaves. Some of the whimpered when she glazed their wounds in aloe, it was said to help cuts, or was it something else. They all slowly seemed to get better by the day, but half of them might never walk again.

It had been a week since that attack and the patrol was slowly returning, each with their own news. Until they stopped coming back. Three quarters of their scouts were still out there. "What do we do?" She asked cenuny, their medicine dog. "I don't know, but whatever we do, we must do it now, or else they might all die off if their in the wild without a full pack, but Athena, you need to start a new pack, it's not ever safe here any more" Athena nodded then hugged cenuny and ran to her den. She took her leaf side bag and put a rabbit and a mouse inside. Then trotted outside. As the thick pine forest approached Athena clenched her jaws, afraid of leaving her pack.
