"You can't run from the shadows, but you can invite them to dance"

Honeydew, definitely. I want something sweet. Or maybe passion fruit? Curse them for all these flavors. Raziel looks like he was reading to put his straw through my heart. " She'll have honeydew with lychee jelly please." He smiled at the the girl behind the counter, who shuffled to go get our orders. Well why do you have friends if they can't order milk tea for you?

The California sun hits my sleep deprived face. The air from the beach is salty and refreshing. Ha! No. I lived in the city so smelled more like smoke and street food. The hair pushes my fairly neat hair out of its braid. I step over some cigarette butts as we make our way to the parking lot. Raziel is just sipping his drink. I think he likes this silence just as much as I do. Or maybe he is still thinking about the tests tomorrow and has completely forgotten that I exist. Eh, he is Raziel after all.

Raziel is like those McD french fries ya know. Tall, blond and gorgeous. And me? I am like a.. Umm me? Shoulder length black hair and brown tan skin, your typical Indian girl. And no, i do not smell like curry. " Hey Astrid, my car's back her you little thing." Dear Lord God i hadn't realized that and i was three lots away from him. I'm not careless, I never am but today i feel..off?

"Oh okay listen up child, I am not little and i most definitely did not forget where your car was."

Something feels wrong. The air is so much more humid. It's the weather. Definitely the weather. I don't even strap myself in before Raziel takes off. What is this boy doing?? " Raz stop. You're going to fast. Raz listen to me. RAZ RAZ STOP PLEASE". Why is he just smiling like nothing is wrong?!

Cars. Lights. People. Screams. Truck. Crash. Shouts. Pain. Blood. Faces. Darkness. And Raziel...
