Loved Since Forever

It was her first time on a talk show.

She was excited.

She's been on stages many times before but this time was different...

I've been watching him since forever. Since 2011. 10 years. From SNL to Latenight to the Tonight Show. He's always been my favorite comedian.

And now...now I get to perform on his show. I get to be interviewed by my celebrity crush. It's so unreal. This is. What I've been dreaming of. The day is finally here.

"Hello mam. This is your friends from Rockefeller telling you that we have you booked on the 4 AM flight. One-way to New York City. Tomorrow morning. See ya' here at 11."

I hung up the phone.

I threw my phone onto my bed and plopped myself down as well. I stared at the ceiling.

"Maybe this will change things. Maybe I'll have a love life for once." I thought to myself.

"Ah! No! That's just weird. I mean, he's a lot older than me. A lot. But I really like him. Age is only a number, right?"

I shook my head and tried to think of something else. I got up and got a suitcase out of my closet. I started putting a few things in it.

My phone rang.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE GOING ON THE TONIGHT SHOW?!?!?!?" I lifted my ear away from the phone.

"Hey! I need my ears, you know!" I yelled back.

"Sorry. But why didn't you tell me?" My friend Rebecca asked laughing.

"It never came up." I said to her.

"This is huge, Misty. I mean besides the 'million copies' thing. This is the next big thing."

A million copies? What is she talking about?

"What?"

"You haven't heard? How haven't you heard? This morning the millionth copy of your album was sold." she said.

"WHAT?!! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT MANY COPIES WERE MADE!! OMG. THIS IS AMAZING. I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!!" I shouted to the phone.

"OUCH! I see what you mean. But yeah, it really happened. I'm proud of you and proud to call the "Misty Renee Love" my best friend. Congrats!" She said to me.

"Thanks, Becca. And I'm sorry for not telling you. Haha." I said.

"It's okay. I got to go. Talk to you later."

"Bye." I said and she hung up.

I screamed.

"I can't believe it. This is...this...this has been the best week of my life." I said to myself.

I finished packing and then went to bed.
