He tried her phone again, but this time she didn't answer.

"Mom where's Eli?" he yelled.

"I don't know, but she's old enough to do what she wants, and I don't get in trouble for it. I'm sure she's fine though." she called back.

He called her again. It went to voicemail.

"'Hey this is Eli. My phone is either off or I'm busy, so leave a message and I'll call you back.'"

"Hey, it's Jacob. Where are you? Come home." his voice broke and he tried not to cry. He really missed his sister. He needed her to be there with him, always. The tone went off telling him that he could speak.

The day wasn't so bad. After breakfast they pretty much just walked around for half an hour, then someone recognized them and they decided that it was time for rehearsal. They ran to the studio, Eli beating them all, and got ready to start. Eli stayed behind the glass and sat in a red, leather chair that was extremely tacky. They sang, it sounded wonderful, but she didn't know any of the songs.

"You're not here because they want to offer you a job, are you?" Simon walked up to her.

"No, no I don't sing or anything like that." she waved her hands around a bit, which annoyed him. Mission accomplished. She took out her phone.

She went out in the hall so she could hear it better. She played the message.

"Hey, Eli, it's Jacob. Where are you? Please come home." it sounded as if he had been crying, and her heart broke a little. She dialed the home phone and immediately he answered.

"Eli?" his voice was filled with hope.

"Hey, Jacob."

"Hi!"

"What's wrong baby?"

"Nothing, where are you?"

"I'm with some friends. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, when will you be home?"

"I don't know."

"Why not? Are you okay?"

They left the room and went out in the hall, where they found Eli on the phone.

"Yeah, I'm okay...Don't worry...No, don't cry...Be a big boy for me...I'll be home soon...Yes, I promise...I love you...Okay, goodbye.

"Yeah, I'm okay."

"Are you sure?"

"Don't worry."

*sniffles*

"No, don't cry... Be a big boy for me."

"When are you going to be home?"

"I'll be home soon."

"Promise?"

"Yes, I promise."

"Okay."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

"Okay, goodbye."

"Bye."

Again, they didn't hear the whole conversation, so they were a bit confused, but they pieced together as much as they could.

"Who was that?" Harry asked.

"Jacob."

"Is he your son?"

"He's my brother." she corrected. "Where would you get the idea that he's my son? I'm only nineteen." she was mad, it showed in her face.

"Well earlier, I thought he was your boyfriend, but now I see that he isn't." he didn't want her mad because he was scared of her, but it seemed he was making matters worse.

She pulled a picture out of her wallet.

"This is Jacob, my brother." she enunciated to make sure he heard it clearly this time.

"I see."

"Good."

"Do you need to go home?" Louis asked.

"I don't know. Jacob needs me, but I can't leave." she stared at her feet.

"Well uhh..."

"We understand, I'll be right back." Harry spun on his heal and ran away.

"Whe-where is he going?" she watched him run down the hall and out the door.

"I don't know." Louis was staring at nothing now.

*KNOCK*KNOCK*KNOCK*

"Jacob, could you please answer the door." his mother called to him from her bedroom.

Jacob got up and opened the front door. In the doorway stood a man, about Eli's age, maybe a bit older.

"Hello. Who are you?" he stared at his hair. I don't think I've ever seen hair like that before.

"I'm one of Eli's friends."

"She isn't here." he began to close the door.

"Wait, wait, wait!" he reopened the door.

"Are you Jacob?"

"Who's asking?"

"I am."

"Well who are you?"

"I'm your sister's friend."

"I've never seen you before."

"Well I've never seen you before."

"Touche."

"You're a strange, little man."

"Eli taught me that. I don't know what it means." he laughed at him.

"You need to come with me."

"Did I do something wrong."

"No, you just need to come with me."

"It's Eli's fault, I swear." he ran away, leaving the door open.

"Noooo! Don't run." the man ran after him.

"WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE!!?" a girl with curly, light-brown hair and glasses walked in through the front door.

"Chealsi! Save me!" Jacob ran up to her and hugged her leg. The man turned around and faced the two.

"HOLY SNOT IT'S HARRY STYLES!" she screamed as she looked up at him.

"That's Harry Potter? My sister is friends with Harry Potter?"

"No, that's Harry Styles." she corrected him.

"Same thing."

"No, honey they're not the same thing."

"Yuh huh."

"Nuh huh."

"Yuh huh."

"Nuh huh."

"Don't worry, I got this." he looked down at Jacob. " Hi, I'm Harry Potter, nice to meet you."

"This is soo cool!" he looked up at Harry." You look different without your glasses." he chuckled.

"Come on, Jacob. Let's go." he headed to the door.

"Wait, where are you taking him?" Chealsi stopped them from leaving.

"It's a surprise."

"I can't just let you take my best friend's brother to some unknown destination."

"Come with us then." he grabbed her wrist and pulled her out the door.
