Trevor woke up, beads of sweat dripping from his forehead. He reached for his phone to check the day, hoping that maybe tomorrow had been postponed. He shut his eyes before turning it on, uneasy.
The 20th of June, it said. "Fuck." Trevor whispered. He rose groggily out of bed, not wanting to leave. Today was the day, the day they graduated. As he rose, the blanket slid off his naked torso, revealing a lean stomach. He glanced at it, and bit his lip. It was cut-free. Trevor had been clean for almost two months.
The urge started a week before graduation. It was small at first, a tiny whisper in his mind, saying the sweet lies over and over again. Each day it got worse, and today was the peak of things. The voice was no longer a whisper, instead it was a roar, screaming at him to take the razor and cut one—maybe two lines into his stomach.
Trevor wasn't sure what to do.

Across town, Carrie Reed was already awake. She felt the same uneasiness, but she forced herself to get over it. Carrie was better at banishing the other her, but it didn't mean that she didn't suffer all the same.
She stood in front of her bathroom mirror, naked.
Tracing the faint scars of her sorrow that were etched into her hips, she couldn't help but feel sadness. She wasn't sad that she did it—she felt sad that she'd stopped. Carrie couldn't disappoint the others, the other members of The Suicide Club. They leaned on her for support. Carrie couldn't let herself be drowned in her emotions.
Carrie stepped into the bathtub with a tiny sliver of hope that it would wash away everything.

Lena was smiling. She'd woken up to good news. She'd made it to UCLA, something Lena had wanted all her life. Deep down, she knew why she wanted to leave. It was a chance to start over again—no bad memories.
She was practically skipping as she was getting dressed. Lena couldn't help but glance at herself in the mirror. In her mind's eye, she saw that she was fat. Lena shut her eyes, willing the image to go away. Lena had swore to herself that she would survive this, this horrible urge to stick her fingers down her throat and starve herself.
"You are beautiful." She said to her reflection.
Lena was almost sure she saw her reflection smile back at her.
