The shining stars, the bright, pale moon
The quiet and the peace
Though I'm left here with my thoughts, alone
As I wait for them to cease

I close my eyes and look for light
Though nothing seems to come
I simply sigh
and sit
and wait
Until I become numb
Then I see it, a dot on black
And many more specks of white
And it was then I realised
