The ticking of the clock loomed over me, the repetitive sound of the clockwork ringing in my ears. I zipped my bag up and let out a long sigh, pulling the old strap of my bag over my shoulder. Putting on my filthy trainers, I reached for my door handle, my hand shaking. It stopped short just before I grasped it, pulling my hand away.
I backed away from the ominous door, moving towards my windowsill. Climbing over the rotten wooden frame, I looked back at my empty room. A clock, a mattress and the clothes on my back.
I could run away.
I could leave this place forever.
No more pain.
No more suffering.
I could end it.
The sound of a speeding truck pulled me back into reality, the drunken laughter tearing my glance away from my gloomy room. Walking down the rusty steps and to the unkept jungle of a front yard, I made my way to school. The soles of my shoes full of as many holes as my torn clothing. I shivered, the beautiful white snow surrounding my feet, I walked on down the sidewalk.Don't be stupid.
You can never escape.((Sorry it's so short, I have lot of work to do))
