"Can I ask you a question now?" I asked as our session came to an end.
"Sure, go ahead," she smiled, a curious look on her face.
"Why did you become a therapist?"
"Because, my dear," she answered with a gentle smile curving her wrinkled lips, "this world has taken too many souls as beautiful as yours and turned them into nothing."
