Chapter 7: Accidental Love

Lauren's POV

Ugh. I hate it when the doorbell rings and I'm in the middle of doing something I enjoy.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw 2 police officers on my doorsteps.

"Are you Ms. Lauren Scott?" The girl officer asked me. They didn't bring any papers though that they might give me as a warrant of arrest so I wondered why they are here.

"Um yes. What's the problem? Did I do something wrong?" I asked shyly. I have no single clue why they are here.

"We're sorry to bother you Ms. Scott but you were the last person Mr. Liam Gray mentioned before he passed out."

"Passed out? What do you mean? He was just here a few hours ago! Don't tell me he drink and drive!"

"Ah. No Ms. Scott. His car was hit by an impaired driver. He's now in the hospital still unconscious."

"He's what!?!"

I held my tears back. I don't want to cry in front of the 2 officers. I told them I can manage my self to drive to the hospital and so they left.

I cried and cried while I was fixing my self and calling my brother to inform what had happen. I was just having a good time with Liam a few hours ago. I, I can't believe his now in the hospital. Hurt, in pain and injured by a stupid impaired driver.

As soon as I got in the hospital, I hurried to the room number the officers gave me - 2402. I scanned through the doors until I reached his room.

When I entered the room, there were still doctors and some nurses gathering around his bed along with the 2 officers I met earlier. How did they get here so fast?

I hurriedly rush towards Liam bed. And I hugged him. I cried and cried as I watch Liam lying on the bed, unconscious and helpless. His body is covered with bruises and bandages.

"Liam, please. Wake up. I need you."

I fell to my knees and clutching my head in despair while saying, "Please. Liam. I need you. Just please wake up. I love you."
