Growing up is hard. Growing up the way I did is even tougher. My family life growing up was not so great. There was a lot of fighting, and sometimes it got out of hand. I felt alone. Here, let me explain it in a way that makes more sense. You feel lost. Like a ship lost at sea. You think that there is no way out, that you are so far gone that you will never see your life continue. But suddenly you see a light. That light guides you home. It guides you to a place where you feel like you belong. You are happy. Overjoyed that you had finally come out of the other side. That you came out alive rather than dead. You were given a chance. A chance to finally be living the life you have always wished that you could. You were given a reason to live again. I have a reason. And that reason has a name. Nate. But, what if the life I dreamed of could be taken away from me in a split second? Ending with my happiness being gone. My name is Megan and here is my story full of fight, hate, friendships, death, and love. And most importantly, fighting for what you believe in, even if what you believe in might not be what everyone thinks is worth fighting for.
