Complicated Love

Chapter 4

When Aditya asked me to go over his house often this reminded me of my best friend, Sona, well she was.

FLASHBACK CONTINUE
After classes were over, Sona came over my house. We were in my room dancing, eating, singing, and goofing around. We had loud music on until we saw the door open. It was Sona's dad picking her up.

"Dad give us 15 min, please?" Sona pleaded to her dad.

"Please uncle, give us 15 min", I also helped Sona as we both wanted to spend more time together.

"Ok but only 15 min, no more", Karan uncle strictly said and left the room. Even though Karan uncle was strict, he was still a chill dad.

After 15 minutes passed, we left the room so I can drop off Sona to the door.

We were walking, we heard Sona's dad scream. We both ran towards him and saw that he was rolling down the stairs.

"Oh my god, dad", Sona screamed and was running in hall going towards the stairs until my eyes went on the floor. There was oil.

"Sona! STOP THERE! There's oil there!" I screamed before she could reach further by the stairs. She had stopped after I screamed that.

I ran to her and hugged her.

"Are you ok" I asked while hugging her. She pulled away from the hug ignoring my question and furiously went to her dad carefully.

I also followed her. My mom was already down there trying to get him up but she failed. Then all three of us helped him up and then my mom called the ambulance.

"So why did you try to make my dad hurt", Sona crossed her arms and asked my mom.

"Sona, what are you saying? She can't do that", I defended my mom.

"Well how do you know she didn't do it on purpose?" She asked me.

"Dude you come here all the time and she always takes care of you and your dad whenever he is waiting for you! How can you suspect someone like her", I yelled. How can my mom do anything like that!

"Oh yeah! Well my dad and I are not coming here again! And our friendship ends here!" She snapped and left the house just like that, leaving me in tears.

I went on my knees and cried, cried like a baby.

"Beta, I'm so sorry, but I didn't put oil on the floor", my mom came to me and consoled me.

"It's ok mom, maybe it wasn't meant to be", I sobered and ran into my room crying like baby. I told my mom it's ok but it's not!

END OF FLASHBACK

"Hello! Kaha kho gayi", Adi snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Huh!" I jumped. "Nothing is wrong", I lied.

"So something is wrong, because I didn't ask what's wrong! I asked where were you day dreaming", Adi came to me and kneeled down to talk to me.

"Nothing, I have to go", I said getting up, taking my bag and left the room. I heard him call my name but I just ignored it and stopped by the kitchen to say bye to aunty.

After that was completed I left.

THAT EVENING

"Mom what's for dinner", I asked coming out of my room.

"Aj to chole puri bani hai beta( today I made spicy chickpeas and fried bread)", my mom answered. "Your dad will be here soon so just wait so we can eat together", she spoke as she examined how hungry I was.

I loved how my mom always waited for my dad to come so we can all eat together. It's actually very good when you eat with your family. We can't eat healthy and correctly.

After 15 minutes my dad had arrived as I was watching tv with my mom. The food was primarily done and kitchen was cleaned. Now it was finally time to dig in. My dad went upstairs to freshen up.

"So how was your first day", dad asked me while I was nibbling on my my chole puri.

"It was good dad", I answered after I chewed on my food.

"Did you make new friends", my mom asked directly after I finished answering dads question.

"I made two", I replied.

"Anika, pass me the rice", dad respectively asked my mom. My mom served him the rice. I love my mom and dads relationship. They always respect each other and are always loyal. I really want a relationship just like there's.

After dinner
I was in my room for the past hour after we had our dinner and did the dishes. I was reading a book like I always do until my phone beeped indicating I got a message.

I usually have my phone on vibrate and I guess I forgot to put it on vibrate today. I put the book down and looked who it was.

It was adi.
