Twelve year-old Sarah Williams stood by the edge of the boat looking down at the water. "Father?" She asked watching as a few man shoved a tall, thirteen year-old boy with pure black hair, and brilliant bright green eyes onto the ship. The boy stomped on the guy's toes. "Why you little brat!" The man yelled grabbing the black haired boy by the hair and putting a knife at his neck. "Move it, Pirate." The man snarled shoving him forward again.
The boy had his hands tied behind his back. She noticed a tattoo on the boy's right hand, a black wolf with one green eye and one blue eye. The boy also wore a necklace, a gold chain and a ivory wolf on it. The man shoved him below deck. For a split second their eyes meet, she stood there transfixed by the boy's harmless smile. Tell her father's voice brought her back to the world, "Yes, Sarah?" Asked her father.
"Why is that boy being shoved below deck and why did that man call him a 'Pirate'?" She asked.
"Because he is, well he is a Pirate's son." Her father replied. Her father was going to lead the new British colonies on a Island in the middle of the ocean.
Her father started to walk away when he said, "And I don't any you talking to him, Sarah." Her father told her. He walked away. "Oh! Now how could he not expect me to talk to him! Oh well I'll have to obey him, but the boy's smile! And his hair and his face! He is amazingly handsome." She thought. Later that night she went to the kitchen to get a snack, and was tempted to talk to the boy on her way back.
"Hello, Marko." She said politely.
"Hello, dear Sarah!" He boomed. The chef on the ship was huge, tall, and had no hair and a gray beard and dark blue eyes.
"Can I have a snack?" She asked smiling.
"After I give this food to that boy." He told her.
"If you give me a snack I'll do it for you." She smiled.
"Oh okay you win." He laughed he handed her a apple and a plate of food. What harm could bringing him food do? He seemed nice. She walked one more level down to the prisoners are kept. She walked tell she can to the boy's cell. His hands where now tied in front of him and he smiled as she slid the food under the door.
"I expect your a red coats daughter. Whoops I mean the "mayor's" daughter, mate?" He asked walking to the other side of the cell.
"I don't like your tone but yes I'm the Mayor's daughter." She replied.
The boy smiled, "What makes you so confident?" Sarah asked.
The boy's friendly face suddenly gave her a venomous look, "My father is Captain Samuel Black, mate, what makes you think I'm gonna be here for long. I hope your father knows how to beg for mercy." He said leaning against the bars so his face was close to her's.
"I hope you enjoy your food, Mr. Black, and I'm not your 'mate'." She walked away. She heard him laughing. She went back to her room and discovered that the boat was making good time.
"You went and talked to the boy against my wishes?" He asked.
"No, HE talked to ME, I was just giving him the food." Sarah replied.
"Well what did he say?" Her father questioned.
"Well he told me his father is Captain Samuel Black and that he hopes you can beg for mercy." She replied.
"Oh and he kept calling me 'mate'" she added.
"He sounds like he really thinks his dad will catch us. But I'm not sure that he isn't right." He dad said worried.
"Why?" She asked.
"Because, Captain Samuel Black killed my father, and your uncle." He replied. Suddenly voice and canons rang through the air.
"Sir we must get you below deck, Pirates are coming!" The guard outside yelled. My dad grabbed my and pulled me below deck. I somehow ended up by the black haired boy's cell and he gave a smile with his eyes giving a mocking look.
"I told you so, mate." He smiled. Suddenly they heard many foot steps and Pirates of many shapes and size surrounded them. Out of the crowd walked the tallest man that Sarah had ever seen, he was also black hair and black bread and bright green eyes. "Give me my son, Mr.Williams." Threatened the pirate as he put a hand on Sarah's shoulder.
"Let the boy go!" Her father snarled. The guard did so and the. Boy walked over by the by his father, wearing a smirk.
"For this I curse every man in your family!" Captain Black yelled. The pirates vanished into the night and her father hugged her tight but when they were on deck he almost fell off the deck! The curse had started.
