Time seemed impatient, as it soon became morning and a new day for the Ultimates had begun.
*Ding Dong, Bing Dong*
An alarm went off as a black and white bear with a red lightning bolt for a right eye appeared on a monitor in each of the students' cottages. " Ahem! Hope's Peak Academy's School Trip Executive Community has an announcement to make", the bear stated. "Goooood morning, everyone! Looks like today is gonna be another wonderful perfect ,tropical day". "Now then, let's get out there and make sure to give it your all today!
The monitor turned off and the bear faded along with it. The students got up and prepared for the day and headed to the restaurant. However, Nagito stayed behind for a bit longer to get ready. As he stepped into his bathroom to shower,he couldn't help but think what happened yesterday, Was Kurumi an illusion, a cruel trick played by Monokuma? She  seemed so real. He felt a sharp pain in his heart just from thinking about her, "I should stop, this isn't going to get me anywhere, building hope comes first. After he finished cleaning himself and getting changed, he left his cottage to meet the other students for breakfast, however as he stepped outside and closed his door, he was met with an unusual sight.
"Kurumi?!", the boy exclaimed. There was no doubt that the girl in front of him was Kurumi, the red eye, the black twin tails. Although, there was a slight difference in her appearance, she seemed to be wearing a schoolgirl uniform, completed with a black coat and leggings with a blue miniskirt with brown shoes.
"Did you miss me that much Mister Komaeda~?, Kurumi teasingly questioned.
Where did you go yesterday?", the boy asked, despite a small blush appearing on his cheeks.
"I'll tell you later", not wanting to tell him that she went back to her world to restore her *time* to prepare herself for worst-case situations.
"Fine", Nagito said disappointedly. He wanted to know where she went, since Monokuma should be monitoring the entire island, however seeing as they barely knew each other, pressing the subject wasn't a good idea.
"Don't worry I'll answer your questions soon enough", she assured him.
"If you say so."Although could you at least tell me...how you able to appear yesterday like that". "Was it a trick or something?"
Kurumi was debating whether or not to tell him that she is a spirit. Telling him now could make explaining everything else easier, so she went with telling him the truth.
"That was no trick, that was real", she said with no hint of deception in her voice.
"Then I would guess that you're not human correct?", Nagito wondered what was up with Kurumi. He had plenty of strange occurrences in life due to his luck, Kurumi however was entirely different, he couldn't figure out a reason for her being here. She didn't seem like the traitor Monokuma warned about and she definitely wasn't a student of Hope's Peak Academy. Although one thing was certain, she isn't to be taken lightly.
"Your assumption is correct, I'm not human, I'm called a spirit".
"Spirit?" "What does that mean?"
"A spirit is a different being from a human, I possess certain abilities. "The way I appeared from the ground was one of them and I had been using it to follow you around yesterday".
She was the strange presence I felt at the beach yesterday. It finally dawn on Nagito, how Kurumi was comfortable with him, she was observing him, deciding when to reveal herself to him.
"You're not questioning me to see if I'm lying?", she asked.
"Well this is quite unheard of, however I believe you would've made up a story of arriving on this island if you wanted to make a convincing lie".
"You're quite the thinker Nagito",Kurumi giggled.
"It's nothing really, it's just that alot crazy things happened in my life and seeing how you revealed yourself instead of hiding could prove that you are not a bad person", Nagito stated.
"I'm glad that you trust me Nagito, I would be sad if you thought of me as a threat", Kurumi said with tears forming in
her eyes.
"W-Well, you seemed like a nice person and it wouldn't be fair to give you a chance",he explained to stop her from crying.
"Thank you for not doubting me", Kurumi replied, as she wiped her tears.
"I-I just didn't want to see you so sad".
The next few moments were spent in silence, the both of them thinking about each other and how nice it was to have someone understand them.
"Are the two of you done with your little romance scene?", an irritated voice complained. As the both of them were startled by this, a black and white bear appeared out of nowhere.
"Monokuma?", Nagito questioned.
So this is Monokuma, I wonder who is controlling this thing or if anyone at all at that matter, Kurumi thought.
"You guys are quite the handful, first off you are an unwelcome guest", he points at Kurumi. And secondly , Nagito you're late for breakfast".
Monokuma continued on talking, ignoring Nagito's surprised expression on missing breakfast with the other students.
"As much as I like to get rid of you, Miss Tokisaki, since you have become close with Nagito, I'll allow you to stay as a student of the Killing School Trip". Maybe you could have the idiot over here finally stop talking about hope or you could become a victim, that would bring massive amounts of despair to him so much he would never speak about hope ever again".
The bear had a malicious glint in his eyes.
"Either way is fine with me".
"Now then, since you're student of this trip, you will need a title, just so that the other students can develop a sense of trust towards you. Through the various security cameras on this island, I was able to see that you posses, a flintlock pistol . "I believe the Ultimate Markswoman is a appropriate title for you", Monokuma stated.
For the remaining time on this trip, Nagito will be your guide and you'll be his responsibility, so try not to break any rules, he informed them.
"I heard your conversation earlier, about Kurumi being a spirit or whatever and I intend to keep to keep a close eye on you young lady, so no funny business, understood?", he warned.
"Yes sir I understand", Kurumi nodded.
"I'll keep her safe", Nagito stated.
"Good, I suggest the both of you go join the other students before they worry to much. "Before you guys go off, here's a gift for you", Monokuma suddenly handed Nagito a pistol and a student e-handbook to Kurumi."Just in case the others need proof of your title".
After the discussion with Monokuma was over, the two friends headed towards the restaurant to meet with the other Ultimates and hopefully they could trust Kurumi.
"I wonder with Kurumi apart of this battle with hope and despair, will she shine brightly or will she fall into a pit of darkness?, Nagito thought to himself.
Regardless, I will not let her kill or be killed, I don't want to lose her, she's become my symbol of hope, Nagito thought as he sneaked a quick glance at Kurumi.
Nagito, I promise you that I will not allow you be killed, you've started to replace Shido in my heart and I"ll protect you to keep you safe, Kurumi proclaimed in her head.
With that the two students arrived at the restaurant.

That's a wrap for this chapter. Now that Kurumi is part of the Killing School Trip, how will she deal with the challenges of this trip? Especially now that she has started to fall for Nagito?
Sorry if I made Kurumi falling in love with Nagito too quick, I just wanted her reason to protect Nagito to be more solidify. Tell what you guys thought of this chapter and be ready for Kurumi to meet with the other students.
