Dark Side || Min Yoongi

Chapter 5

"Mom... I'll leave first, I have school today..." Yoongi said as soon as he went out of his room. Yes, he decided to stay with his mom back in the province but he still visits his apartment. He just wants to look after his mom, since he knows that she's getting weak.

"Okay... take care of yourself son..." She said and Yoongi kissed her cheek before smiling. "Of course, I'll be home as early as I can. Don't overwork okay?" Yoongi said and his mom nodded. She was getting better now and Yoongi was happy with that, but still he was worried about their safety there. He wanted to bring his mom in the city but he knows he can't since it's the school who provides everything he needs there.

"Eat your lunch!" Yoongi heard his mom said as soon as he got out of the front door. He needs to be ready early since he have to travel for an hour and he doesn't want to be late. He has to be a good student.

"Hey!" Yoongi heard a voice said as soon as he entered the classroom. Yoongi tilted his head only to find his best friend sitting by the window.

"Oh, you're early..." Yoongi said and Jimin just gave him a sarcastic look on his face. "Yah, you should be energetic today. What's wrong?" Jimin asked before taking a seat in front of Yoongi's desk. Yoongi opened his book then he looked up on Jimin. "Nothing..." He said shortly as he turned to his book again. Jimin gave him an annoyed look. He wondered why Yoongi became his best friend since he's the noisy-nosy type and Yoongi was the shy-silent type.

"Oh come on..." Jimin said and Yoongi shook his head before closing his book. He knows he won't be able to study since Jimin was there and he's going to bug him all the way until dismissal time. "Nothing... I'm really like this right?" Yoongi said and Jimin just gave him a you're-a-killjoy-look.

"Yeah... I hardly see you smile buddy. You barely even talk a paragraph..." Jimin said and Yoongi scratched his head. Is he really like that? He too wondered, maybe it's because of everything that's going through right now.

"Sorry with that..." That's all that Yoongi said and the bell rang.

The whole school day went well or should Yoongi say busy for him since his teachers ordered him around which make him went home a bit late. Well, he wanted to see his mom early but he have to be nice in school too. Since he knows that the teachers trust him, he have to do his work diligently.

After traveling for about an hour, Yoongi arrived home only to find that his mom wasn't there. He entered her room only to find it empty, he was about to go out when a red card caught his eyes. It was placed above his mom's desk. Red card, it seems familiar. He saw some people holding those cards before and they gave it to the gang.

The gang.

Yoongi ran to the table and he opened the envelop. He saw a rose in the middle of the flame and he breathed hard. That can't be happening, that card can't be inside their house. Yoongi abruptly opened the envelop with trembling hands, he took out the paper inside only to see his mom's signature there.

It says that she borrowed money from the gang and she promised to pay for it.

Yoongi tightened his grip on the paper until it was crumpled. A shriek made him come back to his senses.

"Yoongi-ah..." He heard his mom said. Yoongi turned to her as tears were building down on his cheeks, what she did is dangerous. What she did is like risking her own life.

"Why?" Yoongi asked and his mom gave him a confused look. "Why did you ask them for money?! Didn't you remember they killed dad?!" Yoongi bursted out and his mom hugged him. She too cried but she doesn't know what to do anymore, it was her only way to live there.

"I know but I have to save what your dad built for us... I want his hard work to pay off..." His mom said and Yoongi shook his head. Worries and fear ate up his mind.

"No, you don't understand! What if they come here and ask for the money? They might kill you if you can't give them what they want!" Yoongi said and his mom didn't say anything. She knows why her son is like that but she doesn't have any other choice. It was hard but that's what she needed now, she needed their money to save the business.

"No... Trust me I can pay..." His mom said and Yoongi shook his head before going out of the room. Halfway out, Yoongi stopped his pace.

"Use the money I saved. It's enough for the money you borrowed from them. I don't think I can ever forgive myself if something happens to you..."

"I don't want to lose you mom... Just as how I lose dad..."
