"And you take x to left and you get the answer x is equals 46. Get it?" I scribbled the whiteboard. The whole class clapped and I nodded and get to my seat back. "Thank you, Hannah for that brilliant method. Now, for our next week mathletes class, we are going to do some of the question that Caleb bring yesterday and practice for our Mathematical Olympiad" Mr. Gregory explained.
The whole club was cheering when he said 'Mathematical Olympiad'. They are all so excited to compete since we've been holding the number one title for 4 years in a row.
Mr Gregory dismissed our club session and I can't wait to get out of there. It's not like I hated Mathletes, I love it. I am a geek for mathematics. And also, it's not like I hate the club members. They're my best friend. Its just my mi—
"Hey Hannah, wait up" Caleb chased me from behind. I stopped my track and turn around, waiting for him. "What's up" I asked. "So uh you know, Mr G wants to be the group leader for the Olympiad" he blabbered. I stare into his deep blue eyes and found myself lost in it. Ahhh... a deep blue eyes, tanned skin, with a thick glasses, he is definitely geeky hot!
"So what do you think?" he raised his eyebrows.
"Huh I'm sorry what", I blushed.
He chuckled.
"You want to join the Olympiad? It would be cool to have you on my team" he bit his lips. "Oh, I would love to but I'm not interested. I'm sorry" I patted his shoulder. I can see in his eyes he's a little bit hurt.
"Its okay. Uh act—uh.. Nevermind" he hesitate to say something but then he shook his head. "See you later" he said and waved goodbye. I nodded and walk away.
"Wait, no. Hannah" he calls me back. I turn around and look at him.
"Do you wanna go out tonight?"
--
"Oh my God!!!" I screamed at my phone. My friend, Ashley who was at the other line also screaming. "This is like your dreams come true!" she laughed. "I know. Wait, what if this isn't a date?" I asked. "Girl, if this is not a date he probably ask you to do homework together in a library" she joked.
"But hey, why are you still calling me, it's 30 minutes before 8. He's going to pick you up at 8 and you need to find your perfect dress and impress him and maybe you know, turn him on or something" she teased. I rolled my eyes at her statement "No, I'm not ready for that yet but hey, I am going to need some time to choose a proper outfit so I call you later?" I asked. "Yeah, keep me updated. Love ya" she blow me a kiss and then hung up.
As soon as I hung up I felt something hit my head. "Ouch!" I screamed. I look at the floor and I saw a nickel. I squinted my eyes and move my gaze towards the window and I saw shirtless Tyler, sitting on the window pane legit hearing all of my conversation.
"Were you eavesdropping?" I screamed and he chuckled revealing his cute little dimple on his cheek. "I'm not but you screamed too loud so I can't help but hear the whole conversation" he explained. "Whatever, mind your own business, Tyler" I scoffed.
"So, who's this lucky little fella?" he asked. Lucky? "What did I just tell you Tyler, mind your own business" I rolled my eyes. I saw his jaw twitched and he walk away from the window, leaving me. Is he mad? Why is he mad? Did I do something? I didn't do anything?
I took a glance at the clock. 7:34 p.m. Oh crap. Okay forget about Tyler I need an outfit. I walk towards my closet and scanning through it. I grabbed my ACDC cropped shirt and my super rip boyfriend jeans and a pair of black vans. I try not to overdress myself because I wasn't expecting much from Caleb but whatever. I put my hair into a messy hair tie like always and put a little of lip gloss on my lips. I put on my glasses and sigh. "Why do my eyesight sucks" I cringe at myself.
"Hannah, were you expecting someone?" my dad asks while knocking on the door. It's 7:56!
"Yeah, I'll be down" I replied. I take a last look of myself at the mirror before heading out. I glanced at the window. Tyler's not in his room. I turn off my lights and went downstairs.
"Hey" I waved at Caleb. He is looking pretty smart. I definitely didn't dress for whatever he's going to bring me. "Let's go", he said while leading me the way. "Wait, shouldn't I change my clothes first?" I asked. "Don't be silly, come on" Caleb offered me to held his hands. I intertwine our hands and his hand is just so warm. We both walk out and he led me into his car. He opened the door for me and I just blushed the whole time. Why is this so awkward?
When I sat in the passenger seat, he rushes into the driver seat. He buckled his seat belt and so do I. "Why don't you tell me we're going somewhere fancy?? I mean I dress like a hobo and you're a millionaire" I asked, gesturing at his suit. He chuckled, not leaving his eyes on the road. "I'm sorry I forgot to tell you but hey, you look stunning" he sneaks a peek at me and winked. I blushed under the street lights and we both drove away.
--
We arrived at the most expensive hotel in our town. My mouth left agape as I walk out from the car. "Wow, how did you get a reservation here? I mean my dad wants to bring his girlfriend here for months and he couldn't get one" I laughed.
"My dad owns half of this building" he smirked.
