Mary's POV,

We sat at the table and ate breakfast in peaceful silence, that is until Kate broke it. She put her fork down and glanced at me and father. "The Duke was quite displeased of how cold you were to the King" I hung my head and continued eating. "Wasn't it you that said adressing the King would ruin us?" I lifted my head to look at my snake of a sister. She lightly scoffted "so I'm to blame for your crude behavior towards the King now?" When I didn't respond she stood to her feet and left the dining room. Father shook his head "God spare mercy on the Duke's soul for having such a spoiled child as his wife" I stifled my giggles and picked up my chalice cup of milk and vanilla cream and took a sip.

King Henry's POV,

I glanced at the scrolls and signed the one's that I thought were most important.

At noon I met Sir Boleyn. I poured some wine and got down to business while we played a game of chess. "How are your lovely daughter's?" I was hoping he'd mention Mary Ann. "They're well your majesty" I nodded and made a play. "And have you heard news of the engagement party for Duke and Kate?" He made a play and knocked out one of my men.

"Yes I'm aware of it, Mary will be attending as well" I smirked and made a play "checkmate and to discuss other matters I'd like you to become my advisor, my old advisor has been what some would say 'terminated' and I need someone I can trust, someone who won't defy me or cross me" he nodded and smiled "it would be an honor your majesty" I crossed my legs and placed my elbows on both armrests and put the tips of my fingers together "then it's settled you and your daughter's and son will move here into the palace, tomorrow" he stood up and slightly bowed and left my presence.

Dinner with Elizabeth was quiet and boring....

I cleared my throat to get her attention "Ahem" she looked towards me. "Yes my King?" Her words were enforced no doubt. "You've been avoiding me" she merely shrugged carelessly, this annoyed me. "How's our son?" She answered quickly "he is well and occupied with his studies" i nodded and continued eating.

After dinner was over she headed to her bedroom chambers and I did the same with mine.

My servants dressed me in my night wear and left me to my night's rest. I laid awake in my king sized bed and mind drifted to the maiden Mary Anne Boleyn. She was no doubt exquisite and full of life, I looked forward to getting to know her and someday claiming her as my own. I finally grew tired and drifted to a peaceful sleep.
