For years, they have been among you.
They were once Knights of a Round Table that you humans talk so much of.
They were... "Magic."
But above all they served alongside you.
In both your World Wars.
In your times of great suffering and loss.
They stood next to you and fought the same cause as you.
I guess times change. Generations change.
The new generation, this generation, has no decency.
What? Are you scared of us? Scared of the destruction you saw all those years ago?
It's okay. You have every right to be scared.
But you failed to see both sides of the story. You don't see what we see.
We see your races very existence at stake. We race in and protect you from extinction. The damage is the result of us trying to protect you.
What you see is chaos.
You see nothing but what would be little children fighting, breaking stuff in the process. In the midst of that, people die. Cities fall. What you built from the ground up has just been torn right back down.
So your first thought is: They're all bad. They're out to kill me. It's Me and Them. I can't let Them kill Me.
But you're wrong. You are all wrong.
If you would open your eyes you would see that some of us want to help you. We want to live amongst you in harmony. We just want a place to call home.
But you can't get past your fears for some reason.
So I'm going to tell you one of the sides to this.
The one that I have to face every day because you said that my kind is illegal.
Sure, I might be insane to you.
But in my eyes, you're all just selfish and cowardly.
So sit down, grab your coffee or cocoa or whatever. A substance you can consume.
You're going to be here a while.
