It was to early and I had just went to bed around 3 a.m and already my alarm clock was going off, 6 a.m really came fast. I jumped out of bed to hurry and take a shower before realizing that my front door was open. I began to walk to the door to see what was going on and my sister pops out of nowhere surprised, I started to scream girl you scared the shit out of me while In my mind I was hoping you were a sexy tall black man coming to rape me.. I laughed realizing that it was almost 6:30 and I had to hurry to get dressed for clinicals. I got out the shower jumped in my scrubs and bolted out the door and in the same time telling my sister to have a great day and asking her how long she planned to visit. She replied just the weekend and I yelled as I was driving off oh okay see you when I get back. I drove a 1997 Honda accord that was black and had a wing on the back it was a cute little car and I was so ready to get a new one but I pressed the gas as hard as I could to be on time for clinicals. As I pulled up to the hospital I knew today was going to be a busy day cars and people was everywhere, as I walk through the doors one of the nurses came up to me and said Dr. Black wants you to come to his office. I was a bit nervous. asked the nurse what for and she replayed I'm not sure but he has been looking for you all morning . I walked down the hall hoping not to run into him so I went to the cafeteria to grab some breakfast to get my day started. I walked in and everyone seems to know me and I don't know them but I just speak and play it off like I really know them. I hear Mrs.Kay calling me from the other side of the room and I could tell she had something to tell me. She loved to gossip and I loved to listen. I walked up to her and said hey girl how are you doing whats the tea and she replayed hunnie I got some juice for you. I said girl let me get my food and we can talk all about it. I walked through the line and got my usual breakfast cheese eggs and sausage. I see Mrs.Kay is waiting patiently at a table near the door. I walk over and took a seat and she begins to tell me that Jamie caught her husband cheating on her with another woman in the hospital parking lot this morning and I was like oh my word. Are you being serious I asked in disbelief. She said Im serious as a heart attack. I began to think to myself maybe that's why Dr. Black wanted to speak to me I mean Jamie is my good friend and all but I don't know all her business. Mrs.Kay and I chit chat for a few then I head off to the E.R to start my day. The board was full to the max and there were no rooms available. The waiting room was full to capacity and I already wanted this day to end. I grabbed charts and began to look over them to see what was going on with my patients and getting report before the night nurse left. While the night nurse Monica was giving me reports and updates on my assigned patients Dr. Black walks up and tells me Ive been looking for you all morning do you think I could have a word with you in 20 minutes in my office please, a puzzled look came over my face while the words yes came out and he said thanks and walked off. Mr. Black was tall, fair skinned, and with curly dark black hair. He was every girls dream and I couldn't understand what he wanted to talk to me about. It seem like those 20mins went by in 5mins. I walked to his office and he was already there waiting on me. I knocked on the door and he replied come in. I walked in he was sitting there behind his desk looking very nice. I sat down in the chair and he began to speak to me saying I've noticed how hard you've been working around here and I want to tell you job well done. I replied thanks Dr. Black but may I ask why am I here. He replied I also notice that you live in a not so safe side of town. and I'm sure you want out so I have a house that I want you to move into. Its out in the county and its already fully furnish and I would love for you to move in everything is included no more bills or anything for you I just want to take a load off of you. I almost scream as tears ran down my face really Dr. Black I replied he said yes and I just felt like this was a dream come true. He handed me a set of keys. I was so over joyed I couldn't stop smiling. He gave me the address and said I could move in asap. I could barley make it through the day. I was ready for 3 o'clock to come. Before I know it I was out the door running to my car. I couldn't wait to tell my mom the news. I called her 5 times before she answered the phone. I hate when she doesn't answer the phone. Finally she called back and I began to tell her what happen and she started to scream through the phone are you lying or being honest. I said mom I'm telling the truth I'm on the way to get you so you can go with me to see my new house.
