I'll tell you what. Demons are real. So are monsters. Forget the world you know. Forget that life you live. The only way you'll ever live is if you survive. He's a ruthless King. So ruthless he kills just for fun. He has demons and monsters everywhere. They lurk in the shadows and they watch your every move. We don't know why We're still alive. We should be dead. But We survived his ruthless antics.

Can you?

                       Keiko P.O.V.

I still couldn't believe it. They're really gone. It shouldn't have happened. But it did.
My parents are gone.
The only living relative I have is my Uncle. But I don't really know him very much so it'll be weird living with him for the rest of my life.

I arrived at his house later during the day.
I'm only 8.
I knocked on the door.
No answer.
I knock again.
No answer.
I tried one more time and this time I got an answer in the form of "HOLD ON!!!!"
The door opened to reveal a tall man with blonde and black hair. He had blue eyes just like me.
And my father.
This man also had the same face as my father. He must be my father's brother. My uncle, the one I'll be living with for my whole life.
"Welcome Keiko. To your new home." He gives me a cold smile as he grabs my shoulder and drags me inside.
"We're gonna have so much fun." With that he closes the door, and I can no longer see the forest or the blue sky.

Little did I know I wouldn't  see that forest or the sky for a long time.

I hate it here.
This asylum.
It's called Dead Mans Asylum.
Spooky isn't it? I've been here for almost a year now.
I'm 9 years old.
I wish I had friends in this unforgiving world.
But no one would want to be a crazy persons' friend, would they?
The guards are ruthless. They don't care if anything happened to you. They just sit there and watch.
I have one thing that connects me to the outside world.
My gem.
It's a black crystal that glows ever so slightly.
I bet there's someone out there like me.
With a special gem.
My grandmother gave it to me before dying. She always told me I was going to be a strong independent woman one day. Who wouldn't need boys or something to make me pretty.
I am who I am.
And one day I'm leaving this place.
For good.

Ash P.O.V.
I looked up at the red swirling sky. It was always like that, but now there's something dark to it. I mean, this is a place you don't want to be in.
I turned to my left where my friend Shadow was standing. We've been friends for life. Ever since his mother died and my mother became a play toy. Don't ask. Because I'm not telling.
This morning was quiet.
It never is.
Unless someone's being tortured or killed by someone.
Or something.
All I wanted was to get out of here.
Once and for all.
Shadow looked at me. "Hey, you see that?" He asks while pointing to the west of us where there was practically an army marching towards something I couldn't quite see. "That's his army."
"Figures." I say as spit onto the ground. "Let's go kill them."
"Not yet Ash."
"Why not?"
"Look who's leading them."
