Chapter 2: Only the beginning

I'm supposed to be going to school but instead, I'm actually going to the hair salon, don't ask why cause I don't even know. I cannot go to Johnny Rockets at 7 am so I continued walking and found out there is a hairdressing salon behind the restaurant, how nice. When I was young I thought my superhero was going to show up in his weird panties and save my life but now that I need someone to actually help me, it's a hair salon that I didn't even know existed.

I get right behing Johnny Rockets so that no one can see me and turn to see if they are still looking at me like pigeons look at bread. Well in that case, I'm the bread.  They are finally gone! I go back to my car and look at the time to see it's 8 am, I'm late, I run to the locker they gave me and put my stuff inside. When I'm done, people are staring at me as if I came from another world. I just look away trying not to look embarrassed in front of everyone.

Tyler's P.O.V

She has all eyes on her as she walks towards her locker with her big green eyes and her shiny brown hair. She is tall and slender, I want to talk to her but apparently most of the guys, after seeing her, will want to.
Okay let's give it a try, I walk towards that sexy chick and she turns around and gives me a shove, but not on purpose, as she runs away to class I guess. I look around to see if i just humiliated myself but no one saw that scene, they were busy concentrating on her appearance. I look at the floor and realize she dropped her phone when she shoved me.

I pick it up: It's a silver IPhone 6s, I press the home button to see her background and there's a boy on the wallpaper, maybe her boyfriend, her love life, her best friend no, why would she put a pic of her best friend as her wallpaper. Maybe she's dating someone.. ohh I don't know. I should just forget about her, she isn't meant to be with me. Why am I even thinking about that, I don't even know her name, I never talked to her.

I just want to stop thinking about her. I should be listening to my English teacher, talking about his love life that must be wayy more interesting than mine...

When someone knocks at the door, I immediately sit correctly on my chair and look fixedly at the door that is opening slowly. A big smile comes on my face when I see her, she looks lost, she looks like she's been trying to find that classroom for hours. Her pink lips start to move as words come out of her mouth: "Hey, um I'm sorry I'm late, I'm new and I could not find the classroom."

"What's your name?" Says the teacher looking at his students list

"I'm Hailey" Says my chick

"Okay great, take a seat next to um mister.." Says my favorite teacher now, pointing his finger to my direction

"Tyler" I say with the hugest smile I've ever done

"Great" She adds before sitting next to me

"So I dated her for 5 days and she already cheated on me" Says our teacher starting to cry

With the other students we kept looking at each other awkwardly but Hailey won't look at anything but her nails.

"Hey" I say

"Oh hey" She says

We were starting our conversation when the bell rang and interrupted our talk.

Hailey's P.O.V

I get out of the classroom and go to my car. There's a group of girls next to my car talking, I look at them and get inside when one of the girls knocks at my window: "Hey, you're new right? We are gonna get our nails done and then go to Starbucks so if you wanna join you are welcome"

"Um yeah okay sure"

"Great follow us with your car"

I start my car and when I want to tell my mom I will propably come home later than planned, I cannot find my phone that I usually put in my pocket. No it's fine I propably just put it in my purse. I follow them to a fancy salon that had a lot of beautifying decorations. There was nail polish displays with different shades of colours and ladies  waiting for us to sit so that they can assist us.

"Come on in and choose your color" Says Mia. Mia has red hair and blue eyes and she's from New York. Lindsy has blond hair,  yellow and brown eyes and she has lived in Los Angeles for her whole life and Victoria has brown hair and blue eyes and she's from Kansas, like me.

"Can I borrow your phone a sec, I can't find mine and I need to tell my mom that I'm coming home a little late?"

"Yeah sure, go ahead" She hands me her phone and I send a message to my mom.

I put a light blue nail polish that goes with my jeans, Mia puts white, Lindsy puts black and Victoria puts dark blue.

"Soo" Says Victoria

"Have you seen any cute guys yet?"

I really wanna laugh right now after everything that happened this morning, um maybe I didn't have the time to. But I hope I am going to see some tomorrow at school, maybe the love of my life is waiting for me...

"Not yet, and you"

"Oh honey we have a long list waiting for you"

"What do you mean?"

"Look at you darling, you're super cute, every single guy in school is going to fall for you.."

She doesn't have the time to finish her sentence when Mia's phone rings, I look at the message my mom sent:

Mom: Hailey you need to come home now, your dad is here and he has a surprise for you, he will have to get back to work at 10pm if you want to spend time with him.

I jump when I finish reading her text, I missed my dad, I see him very rarely.

"I'm so sorry girls but I have to go, I don't see my dad often and now that he has come, I want to spend time with him" I say with watery eyes

"It's fine see you at school!" They say all together

I jump in my car and drive home.
