Town of Donrey-Zurien's POV

With a couple more hours to the sun rise, I prepare the royal stallion for his next adventure. As I loosen the rope attached to the steed, I can't stop but look only at Ayvi, who has been gazing at the moon, profoundly lost in thoughts.

I smile at the old memories that came flooding back to me while looking at her. She is still innocently eyeing the moon, her long black hairs being caressed by the soothing breeze. The sharp jawline and large diamond shaped black eyes one of the most attractive features of her face! Everything about her is just taking my breath away!

I forcefully take my eyes off her and call her out, "Prepared to leave?". She swings to face me and nods while strolling towards me.

"Much obliged to you once again. I could never compensate you for your help", she answers delicately.

"You could without a doubt do something to reimburse", I reply while seeing her confounded face.

"Alright! And how could I do so?", she inquires.

I grin, "Just promise! You will not be a bore company through this ride to Nye."

She smiles lightly and I realize that she has quit covering her face with the veil. It is good she is feeling comfortable around me!

On the way to the Valley of Nye - Ayveri's POV

"Ayvi, Are you afraid of the dark?", Zurien asks as we commence mapping towards the Valley of Nye. I suddenly recalled how anxious I was of the dark when I was a child.

Ayer would scare me telling there are creatures sneaking in the dark and they would get hold of me if I was lonely. It was Ayvl who, being the caring oldest sibling like always, helped me conquer this dread.

How wondrous were those times! And now! How did my life change just in a matter of a day?

I am brought back to the reality when Zurien inquires if I am alright.

"I apologize. I was.. lost in thoughts. I remembered how afraid I used to be of dark. But Ayv..., I mean, my older brother helped me overcome this. How about you?" I proceed with the discussion.

He chuckles, "Darkness is my companion. It makes me feel imperceptible"

I enquire about his family to which he responds, "I do not have a family as doting as yours Chandra!"

I immediately apologize, "I am sorry! I did not know you had no...family. That must have been so difficult and...painful, I could never envision! How do you stay so cheerful and full of life?", I needed to comprehend his agony so I can learn to deal with my own inner pain.

After a moment of silence, he speaks, "I had a guide, a father figure who taught me to remain happy regardless of what the conditions be. Until his last breath, he did not leave the path of righteousness. He will forever remain with me in my thoughts and heart."

I smile while replying, "He would be so proud of his upbringing."

"At last! You did indeed realize that I am a noble man?", he exclaims and I laugh uncontrollably.

I felt considerably lighter after conversing with Zurien. He is unknowingly enhancing my confidence and I am brimming with vitality; my heart is promising me that I would prevail in my mission to save my family.

I never imagined I would feel so comfortable in the vicinity of a stranger. The fact is I had never envisioned that I would talk and laugh freely with a stranger!

He is truly one of a kind and I wish for all the happiness and true love for him.

I wish I had known him earlier; perhaps we would have been really good friends!

We are passing through the forested areas of Nyesta. It is tranquil, with infrequent twittering of the winged creatures and crying of the wolves. There is no indication of human life in these woods.

We gradually ride so the stallion doesn't tire itself, also ensuring that we don't make a stop in the woods. We had mutually chosen to make a quick stop only in the event that we cross a town during the transit.

After some time through the woods, we are back again on the dusty street across a stream. We make a speedy stop for the horse to relax and drink the water.

Zurien asks while I am observing the calm blue stream, "If you do not mind me asking, what were you doing at Ather when your family is at Nye?"

I consider how to answer this question, "I was...I was with my brother taking care of his son while...his wife was at her parent's home for a while." I sigh internally.  I never knew lying was such a painstaking task.

Before he could ask any other question, I decide to ask him, "What...What about you? Where are you heading to?"

He answers enthusiastically, "Oh! I am meeting an old companion at the Valley of Nye."

He continues, "What a coincidence it has been....Isn't it? It is as though we were destined to be together."

After an uncomfortable silence, he quickly states, "I mean not...not THAT sort of together but rather THIS kind of together. I didn't clarify it...did I?"

"You don't have to explain, I understood what you implied", I chuckle lightly at his anxiety while he kept stealing glances at me.

We commence riding again and the time flies as we talk.

The first beam of the daylight falls upon us and soon follows a carving on an enormous rock expressing, "Valley of Nye".
