Chapter 1: Heading to Hogwarts

A/N Hi, I just wanted to say that I know there's so many Harry Potter fans out there and know that I'm one too. Please, take no offence to the way I describe the characters as, of course, I did not make up any of them and do not own them. Also, I will change the storyline ever so slightly to adjust the fact that some new characters are in it so I'm sorry if I ruin some of your ships. But hey, that's what makes it fun and interesting, right? Well that's all for now, bye ~Underground_Mole

--1st year--

Your POV:

-Melissa dear, dinner is ready! My aunt Narcissa shouted from the bottom of the staircase in Malfoy Manor.
-I'll be right down Auntie! I shouted back, my voice aching since I had to speak so loudly. I got up from my bed and closed the Hogwarts trunk at the side of my bed.
-Must of fallen asleep in the process of closing it, oh well I was quite tired after all the shopping in Diagon Alley today. I thought, scanning the room for my letter which I had kept in a safe place so Draco couldn't find it. He would burn it or something, I knew that's the kind of person he was. That blond boy was exactly three months older than me, he always used that against me. I had known him my entire childhood so in a way, he was like my brother. His arrogance, obnoxiousness and disgust for anyone who were not purebloods like us annoyed me, but I had dealt with it for the past eleven years.

My name is Melissa Malfoy. Well, technically I'm a LeStrange but if I or anyone told people that then they would freak or send me to Azkaban with my mother and father.
-C'mon Lissa, I'm gonna eat your meal! Draco voice called through my open bedroom door. I exited and ran downstairs, not wanting him to steal my food.

--After dinner--

I thanked Uncle and Aunt for dinner and then entered the kitchen to thank our house-elf, Dobby, who was actually the one who prepared everything and he had helped me pack my case for Hogwarts. I asked him if he wanted to come and play on the swings with me outside, I was childish like that. He declined my offer politely but told me he would insure I would be completely prepared for the journey for tomorrow. He was so kind. Dobby was a really good friend of mine and since I was little, he cared for me and always made me laugh with his little squeaky voice. It was going to be sad to leave him. I hoped that Lucius wouldn't be too cruel to him.
-Why are you talking to this filth, Melissa. Speak of the devil. Mr. Malfoy had walked in with his walking stick with a sliver snake on the top. It made him seem old. I held in a laugh at this thought. Lucius glared at me and pointed a finger in the direction of my bedroom and told me to "got to my room". The classic saying, it irritated me so much. I stomped off and heard the sound of my uncle whacking poor Dobby round the head with his cane. I ran upstairs and slammed the door, locking it. I fell asleep quickly as I was impatiently awaiting tomorrow.

--The next day, at the station--

I rolled my trolley down platform ten of Kings-cross station. My little brown and white kitten, Snuffles, (YEAH I KNOW SUCH AN ORIGINAL NAME) was ever so slightly turning her head to watch people with her gigantic, light blue eyes. I suddenly came to a halt, wondering where my aunt and uncle had gone. Draco, who was chatting to some random girl, didn't see I had stopped and banged right into me. He really embarrassed himself and, obviously, blamed it on me by hitting me with a book.
-Were is my father! Draco looked worried.
-Oh Draco, I'm sure we'll find him! The girl looked around.
-Pft, who cares, I'm going to find someone who can actually help with getting to the platform before we miss the train. I turned on my heel and left. A few pillars before the one I was standing in front of, I found a woman with bright ginger hair talking about muggles to her four...no wait...five children. Then, there was a sixth one, trailing behind. It was Harry, Harry Potter of course. I trotted up to them and announced myself to the woman.
-Hello, I'm Melissa, would you mind helping me please? I politely asked her to help me.
-Oh good morning dear, of course I can! Are you wondering how to get on the platform too? She smiled.
-Well, yes, actually. I lost my aunt and uncle somewhere round here and I-
-Ah, no need to explain dear! She exclaimed. Then she briefly explained everything that I had to do to get onto the platform. I was introduced to the Weasley family, who seems to be quite cheerful and close-knit. I liked them a lot and hoped to spend more time with them. In a few short moments, I was on the platform, staring at a huge red train. Aunt and uncle came just after I waved goodbye to the kind people and Harry. They questioned me about Draco's whereabouts. I laughed and told Lucius, that he had gone to find you with his new friend Pansy. Both of them refused to follow me so I got help and left them behind. I then appologised for doing so.
-It's quite alright Lissa, I- well, I used to be like that with Bella too. She hated it. She was the eldest yet I was more mature. Narcissa said before having to leave.
-Please hurry, auntie, the train is leaving soon. I informed her.
-I will and if you'd like, I can tell you more stories about me and your mother another time. She smiled before leaving.
-Yes, I'd like that very much. I replied before leaving too.
