Jack decided against the idea of going away. He knew he was just going to have even more nightmares if he broke apart from Mark.
Jack set his bag and suitcase down, grabbed his laptop, and, instead of going back to bed, he went downstairs. He sat down on the couch and opened up his laptop, editing some of his videos he recorded before coming here.
~Time skip to 8:00~
Mark woke up and noticed that Jack wasn't beside him. He sat up. Jack wasn't even in the bed.
Maybe he left...
Mark looked around the room, noticing that Jack's bags were still there. But his bags are still here... Mark walked downstairs and noticed that Jack was sitting down on the couch.
"Oh, there you are Ja-" Mark paused in the middle of his sentence "What happened to you?"
Jack had bags under his eyes. They weren't that bad but they were still visible.
"I was, uh, editin' my videos.", Jack replied. It wasn't a complete lie, but it wasn't the whole truth either. Mark looked at Jack, studying his face more carefully and slowly now.
"Did you get any sleep?"
"Of course I did!", Jack exclaimed, looking back down at his laptop now.
Mark crossed his arms and asked, "How much sleep did you get?"
"Why do ye need t' know?", Jack tried to glare at Mark the best he could.
"Because I'm your friend and I care about you very much."
There it was again. Friend. "Bullsh*t! Ye don't care a wee bit about me!", Jack yelled, slight irritation and anger in his voice, "Stop t'e acting, Mark! We both know good and well t'at ye don't care about me!"
Mark didn't know how to reply. Of course he cared about Jack. He even loved Jack. Loved him. More than a friend, too. He always felt warm and happy around Jack. He loved Jack's personality, his loud voice, his bright blue eyes, his green hair.
"It hurts, Mark! It f**king hurts! How ye give me all t'is false hope fer somet'ing t'at won't even exist!", Jack continued to yell.
~Jack's POV~
I stood up and ran upstairs, going into Mark's room. I grabbed my bag that I brought here and opened it. I opened up my suitcase and grabbed some clothes out and stuffed them into the bag. I grabbed my bag and ran back downstairs. I grabbed my laptop and stuffed it into my bag, then zipped it up. I felt Mark watching me, but I didn't care. I turned around and tiredly smirked at Mark.
"Bye Mark."
And with those two simple words, I opened the door and ran out.
