"Harry! Merry Christmas, dear! Come in, come in!" Molly beckoned them into the Burrow with a huge smile on her face, giving everyone a hug as they walked in. "Do go into the living room. I've got to check the turkey!"

She rushed off, leaving them to move into the next room. There, they were swarmed by the rest of the family. When the surge of hugs and greetings had ended, Harry made his way over to Ron and Hermione, who were sitting in the corner of the room.

"Hi Harry," Hermione said, shuffling up the sofa so he sit down. "Merry Christmas."

"Merry Christmas Hermione."

"How are the kids?"

"Alright. Two out of three like me so that's good I guess. Yours?"

Ron stepped in. "They got Hermione's brains fortunately. Smarter than I ever was."

They all laughed and Harry glanced over to their children. Rose was talking to Victoire and Fleur in what sounded like perfect French. Hugo was sitting in a corner reading to Lily who was giggling like crazy. Harry smiled and turned back to Hermione.

"Got time away from the ministry then?"

"It took a lot of bargaining but I've got a few days off. Spend some time with the kids before they go back, you know?"

"I've been trying to spend time with them but James is refusing to talk to me and Albus... Well, I think he's just pushing the boundaries of a soon-to-be teenager."

"They do that," said Ron, taking a sip from his drinking and shifting his arm over Hermione's shoulders. "Hugo was trying to convince me that he's old enough to have fire whisky last week."

They laughed again and Harry looked over the room again. It still felt weird being in such a large group for Christmas, despite them doing it for many years. Molly walked into the room, ruffling Fred II's hair and handing a glass of butter beer to George.

"Hello! Can I get everyone's attention?" Everyone turned to face her. "Since everyone's here, I'd like to say how happy I am for you all to be here and I think that it's about time we opened some presents."

A small cheer arose from the children in the room and with a flick of her wand, Molly made the gifts fly from under the tree and land by their receivers. A mass ripping of paper began as they all began to unwrap their presents one by one. A squeal came from Lily as she produced her own pack of Exploding Snap. Roxanne ran over and hugged George and Angelina with excitement over a brand new broomstick. Amidst the abandoned bows and scraps of paper, Harry looked up from his gifts (a new sneakoscope, chocolate frogs, a jumper with H in gold, a headless hat and a torch) and noticed that James had disappeared. Unnoticed, he shuffled over to Ginny and whispered into her ear.

"Have you seen James?"

She turned to him with concern. "I thought he was with you?" Harry shook his head and she sighed. "Where's he got to now?"

She went to get up but Harry held a hand out to stop her. "It's okay," he said. "You stay here. I'll go find him."

He stood and went to walk out of the room when Arthur approached him.

"Is everything okay Harry?"

"Fine, Arthur. I need to get some air."

Arthur furrowed his brow but sat back down in his seat and proceeded to eat a mince pie. Harry smiled and made his way through the door into the corridor which was silent.

'Please don't have done something stupid,' Harry thought and so began his search.
