I heard that you're settled down

Minty thought back to the wedding, Sjin and Kim's wedding. She and Sjin agreed to remain friends after the breakup. It broke her heart to see Sjin say those two words that day, "I do"
I heard that your dreams came true.
Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you.
'Sjin will be happier this way,' she tried to console herself. They had more in common, she had to admit. They spent their days working and relaxing on the farm- they just bonded in ways that she and him didn't.
Old friend, why are you so shy?

She remembered some of the conversations they'd had at the wedding, Sjin seemed so uncomfortable and so did she, not like when they were together...
I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it.
She took a deep breath before knocking on the door of Sjin and Kim's home. Sjin answered,
"Hey, Minty! I didn't know you were coming.
"Yeah, well..." What was she supposed to say?
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over.
He invited her in and they sat down. They made random conversation, but she willed him to understand- She was still in love with him.
Never mind, I'll find someone like you

"Oh! Is that the time?" She said, hurrying out so he wouldn't see the tears that threatened to spill.

She remembered when we they first broke up. "Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead," he had said. Just thinking about it made her upset, and a tear trickled down her cheek.
You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
She thought back to the last date they went on, it felt like just yesterday when she closed up her bar early and got picked up by Sjin.
We were born and raised

Bound by the surprise of our glory days
She thought back to the the days of their youth, she had always had a crush on Sjin, and it was the best day of her life when He asked her to be his girlfriend.

She leaned against a tree near the edge of the farm, staring at the farmhouse, watching the silhouette oh Sjin move around in front of the kitchen window. All she wanted to do was go in and talk to Sjin.
I'd hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me it isn't over.
What had she expected to come of this visit? She still loved him, and had just expected him to realise. She shook her head in despair, trying to push the childish ideas from her mind- this wasn't a movie with a sappy cliché ending, this was real. A married man wouldn't fall in love with his ex because she stopped by for 5 minutes.

She turned and ran. Away from Sjin. Away from Kim. Away from their new home. She ran through the forest, tearing her dress and skin on branches that seemed intent on hurting her. Tears flowed freely down her flushed cheeks, blurring her vision. She tripped and fell over a tree stump, badly twisting her ankle and grazing her already bloodied arms and legs. She lay there, eyes closed, thinking about Sjin.

Sheheard a gasp from above her, "M-Minty?" A familiar voice stuttered, "Um, are you OK?" She opened her eyes and looked up at Strippin, who was standing above her,
"I don't know," she answered truthfully, "I hurt my ankle pretty bad," He held out his hand to me. I took it and tried to stand but yelped in pain as I tried to put pressure on it. Strippin shushed me before picking my up, bridal style. I closed my eyes and felt the rhythm is foot falls beneath me, before being set down on a bed.

Regrets and mistakes
They are memories made.
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?
"Strippin... Thank you,"
"No problem, you're light as a feather!" She smiled- he would say that, he was 220 lbs of muscle!
"No really, thank you,"
Their eyes locked, he looked past the tear-stained face, the bloodied limbs and kissed her.

Hello my little snickerdooldles! Not sure why I decided to ship these two together, but I didn't want to use Lewis cus of his relationship with Hannah, or Simon- that just seemed weird. I would usually pair her with Sjin, so this was literally painful to write :'(. But, looking at some vids, these two are kinda cute so alls well that ends good.
