"I'm leaving" Sasuke whispered as he stared at the night sky.

Naruto turned his head slightly, allowing him to barely see Sasuke, and wondered if he had heard him right. No, Sasuke couldn't be leaving, as they had known each other for 10 years, and he knew Sasuke didn't like the idea of moving.

"Why?" was all Naruto could manage to say.

If he were to say anything more than just 'Why', his voice would have cracked and revealed just how hurt he was over two words.

"My mom thinks it's best if I move to a new school, make new friends. In order to go to the school, we have to move closer, much closer. I begged her, which I don't do, and she refused to reconsider. I'm sorry Naruto" Sasuke apologized. 

The blond knew the day would come when Sasuke would either move or forget him, but he hadn't imagined it to hurt like how it did. As if he were being stabbed repeatedly, in the heart, and being drowned at the same time.

"Give me your address, teme. I'll sneak in at night, or sit outside of your window. I'll even throw rocks at the window to get your attention. It'll be like those cheesy teenage love stories from the 90s or something" Naruto joked. 

Sasuke laughed, and it made Naruto warm inside since he rarely laughed after Itachi, and it brought him joy to hear it. If he could compare it to a sound, it would be Heaven, if heaven were a sound.

"Yeah, and what will happen if my mom catches us? Or worse, my dad? They'll kill me if they knew I was hanging around some weird kid I met when I was 6. They would want to know why I am 16 hanging out with some random kid I know nothing of" Sasuke joked, and Naruto nodded his head as if to say 'Touche'.

"I'll say that I'm the secret lover of Sasuke Uchiha, and have come to be with him once and for all. To which I get down on my knee, and kiss her hand, while asking for her blessing to take your hand in marriage. With your dad I could just say something about sports to get on his good side" Naruto said.

"Wow, you're so romantic, babe" Sasuke said sarcastically.

"Only for you, babe" Naruto replied with just as much sarcasm.

They talked a while longer about romance, the topic filling the silent night. Naruto wasn't much of a womanizer even though he was very handsome, and Sasuke was too awkward and antisocial to ever go out with a girl, despite him being a walking God.

"I have an idea, Sasuke, well, more like a bet slash promise" Naruto said. Sasuke raised his eyebrow, wondering why Naruto said 'slash' instead of 'and'. Then again Naruto wasn't the brightest star in the Galaxy.

"What is it Naruto?" Sasuke asked.

"Since we're both single, and handsome, and very open to anything, when we turn 23 we should date. That is if we have yet to find anyone else" Naruto said

"Sure" Sasuke replied, nonchalantly, as if the idea of dating his best, no, only friend, hadn't been on his mind for a few years now.
