This is what Ella looks like in the story

This world is living hell, first we come home and find out there's a disease and Shane said me dads dead, could this day be any better.

Flashback
When Shane came over like always, mom was cooking dinner and me and Carl were watching the news. The news reporter said "get to a safe people are turning into cannibals, go to Atlanta there's a refugee cam-" he was cut off by one of those things taking a bite out of him "Lori get as much food and water as possible, kids go to your room and pack a lot of clothes" we nod and run to are room (we share a room). After we were done packing we got into Shane's car and drove off "what about dad?" I asked worried "umm...he passed away" my eyes widened, tears welled up in my eyes, me and Carl hugged each other crying.

Present time

We were on the high way trying to find a way to safety but the roads were jammed packed with cars. All  I could think about was my best friend Sofia Dixon, me and her are like sisters. I was there for her with her father and everything, I still couldn't believe my dad was dead. We all got out of the car, I look to my left and see a girl around 11 or 12 and her parents came out of the car with her, me and Carl walk up to her

"Hey I'm Ella and this is my brother Carl"I introduce us,
"Hi I'm Sophia, are you guys twins" my smile faded while I heard her say 'Sofia'
"Ella are ok?"
"Yea I'm fine"
"so are you guys twins?"
"Yes" I say
Carl and I both have brown hair, mine being longer, and bright blue eyes.
"That's cool, do you want to play checkers" she asked
"Yea I will" Carl says
"I'll watch" I reply.

We walk to the back of her car and open her trunk and sit on the truck. While they were playing checkers my mom was meeting with Sophia's mom.

30 minuets later

We've been sitting here for a half hour
"Mom I'm hungry" me and Carl say
"I know sweeties" she said.
"Ed has some MRE's, I can get you guys one" carol says
"Thank you so so much." Carol walks to the other side of the car and Ed slams the door shut and talks to Carol that I can't hear from here. She comes back around saying
"I couldn't fine anymore but I found cheese and crackers"
"Thank you"
"No problem"
"Ella, Carl stay here me and Shane are gonna do scout ahead" mom says
"Can we come" I say
"Nope sorry kids" she replies
"Carol can you watch them for me" mom asks Carol
"Of course" she replies
Shane walks over and says
"We'll be back before you know it" and walks off,
"Your guys dad is cool" Sophia said.
The brims of my eyes water
"He's not are dad, are dads dead" Carl says,
I walk over to the car and cry, I hear a couple explosions but I didn't care right know. I wipe my tears and walk back outside, "are you ok sis?" Carl asks "yea don't worry," mom and Shane come back and tell us we half to walk from here, we nod and get our stuff for are car and head down the road.
