she enters the world of books,
answering and attending every one of her friends.
her eyes scan the number in her profile,
seeing as the counting ends.her heart crushes and clenches
seeing as she's being forgotten.
even though she tells herself "be grateful",
there's always a part of her that stays rotten.as a human being,
she craves for more.
even though she doesn't want to come off as mean,
she fears her words strike to
the core.she never intends to be jealous or greedy,
all she wishes is to be known by her efforts.but, like always,
they will never be enough.her closest companions rise to the top
just as her numbers stop like a broken clock.and so she stares at herself in the mirror
and she tells herself;"your practice and hard work will pay off someday"
she will always reply,
"it's been four years
how much more will I have to wait?"
