You run up to sister Mara and bow.
"I'm sorry if I made you wait long, sister Mara." Sister Mara, who's nearly as old as your grandmama clicks her tongue in annoyance.
"You should be. Your grandmother needs to be more strict with you! You should know that you are to come immediately once you've been called!" Scolds sister Mara.
"Yes sister Mara..." You say, feinting an apologetic tone of voice.
"Now come child, it's getting dark out and dinner time is approaching." Sister Mara turns around and proceeds to walk towards the mosque and you follows behind, craning your head backwards to take one last peek at Tooru before heading home. You can see the tip of Tooru's small horns peeking out of the bushes and you giggle before turning back around to continue following sister Mara. After dinner you go straight to your room to practice magic, as usual you scout out the area and make sure all the other nuns are in their own rooms or away on the other side of the church before returning to your own room and locking the door and getting to work on practicing simple spells and channeling magic through your body.
The next day you wake up at 7am as usual so you can take care of your morning chores. This time, however, you're much more excited than usual, all because you get to meet a certain demon friend again today.
You get up and do your morning chores, which consist of watering the church's garden, washing your dirty clothes in the nearby brook, and attending the church's morning service. After that you has breakfast and your cleric training. After doing your other chores and listening to the droning sound of your grandmama reciting biblical passages and talking about their meaning for what seemed like forever you accidentally fall asleep and wake up just in time for the service to conclude. You speed over to where the nuns eat and devour your breakfast, sister Eliza has to remind you to slow down in case you choke.
At last it's finally time for cleric training and you race to the room where your teacher waits, you wanna get this done as quick as possible so you can meet up with Tooru-kun. Your thinking about if Tooru is already there and if he's been waiting long when your teacher brings you back to reality and out of your thoughts, this is the fifth time now that your teacher has scolded you for not paying attention.
You just can't help herself, you're too excited to meet with your new friend, Tooru, again. You're especially excited to go flower picking with him, you can't wait to show him your favorite spots to pick flowers, and maybe if you're both lucky your favorite flower'll be in bloom by now.
"(Y/n)! Are you listening to a thing I'm saying?"
"Hu? Oh, I'm sorry sister Josefina!" You apologize.
"What is plaguing your thoughts so much that you can't focus at all, dear child?" Asks sister Josefina, the one in charge of teaching you to be a cleric, exasperatedly.
"I-it's nothing!" You squeak, you cheeks now tinted pink. Sister Josefina, who's in her mid 50s, lets out a laugh.
"If I didn't know any better dear girl, I'd say you're thinking about a boy!"
"H-hu? N-no way!" Your eyes get wide and you cover your face with your hands to hide your red cheeks, which prompts sister Josefina to let out a hardy laugh. After calming down a bit she speaks again.
"You need to focus, the more you focus the faster you can get to seeing that boy again." Sister Josefina smiles teasingly down at you. You insist one last time that it's not a boy that's on your mind but what sister Josefina said does do the trick, you are able to focus for the rest of the lesson. You recite bible verses and practice them as usual, each bible verse is either used to heal people against injuries caused by certain creatures, create a temporary resistance to the attacks of certain creatures, or to make the creature itself weaker. Sure being a cleric is cool and important but what really calls to you will always be the job of a mage.
With your lessons over you politely thank sister Josefina for taking her time to teach you as usual and speed out of there, heading for the direction of the forest behind the church. You run as fast as you can, jumping over roots and ducking under low hanging branches. Before seeing the spot where you and Tooru promised to meet up ahead. Though you're still pretty far away you can still manage to see some of Tooru's face when you squint your eyes, he's looking down and looks really nervous. Tooru seems to detect your approaching presence though and he snaps his head up to look at your figure as it draws nearer.
Almost immediately, Tooru's face brightens and he starts waving at you, his small fangs visible as he grins at you. You smile and wave back at him as you pick up the pace to try to get to him faster. You draw nearer and slow down your pace before eventually stopping to catch your breath as you now stand in front of Tooru.
Now that your heart is beating at it's normal pace you speak.
"Sorry if I kept you waiting, Tooru-kun." A tiny blush dusts his cheeks,
"N-no, it's fine, I wasn't waiting for that long." You let out a tiny sigh of relief.
"Oh, good. Now," you clap your hands together excitedly. "it's time to go flower picking! It's been so long since I've gone flower picking with someone! If we're lucky then we might find my favorite flower, it should be in bloom by now!" You enthusiastically grin at him."Ah, about that..." Tooru frowns, "we can't go flower picking either."
You tilt your head to the side. "Why not?" You ask.
