Jadeite rubbed their temples, looking down at the digital reports he had just received from Blue Diamond. The giant had been having troubles with her one of her Obsidians, a defective one with a red streak in her gem. Blue Diamond, in her report, stated it was not a Diamond's affairs to be dealing with a Gem's defect. She dealt with treacherous acts, not defects.Jadeite really wasn't ready for another problem, he had just gotten done dealing with some topaz who had some obsession with fusing, in the end she was frozen into a fusion with a Quartz. She was already on her way to the Earth War. She had been tough to deal with, after the sentence had been dealt, she then suddenly seemed to have forgotten about her obsession. It seemed like she wanted to be the one to initiate the fusion. But, with some help of two more Quartz they were fused. Jadeite wasn't sure the fusion would last at first, seeing that neither gem had wanted it. But with some 'gentle encouraging' from the guards and gem destabilizers they finally fused into a brainless monster.
Jadeite shuddered, disturbed by how easy it was the shift someone so quick. They wearily slid the report up higher, so they could lean back in the seat to read through it once more. They knew they would have to take the case, the higher up Officials wouldn't take it at all, and though technically they were higher up than Diamonds, they didn't want to get in their way. Mostly because of their durability, Jadeite wasn't nearly as strong as diamonds.
They stood and pushed the accept button, a few more pages of the case showed up. The Obsidian was small and had a massive fear of the dark, which defeated the whole purpose of her. She also had a fiery red streak through her gem that was etched within a chip.
There was a loud shrill beep as Jadeite flicked through the final page. Blue Diamond must have gotten their answer, and was instantly alerting them of when the Obsidian would be here.
THE DEFECTIVE OBSIDIAN SHALL ARRIVE IN THREE SUN CYCLES. SHE HAS BEEN WARNED AND HAS BEEN ASKED TO SHOVE DOWN HER FEARS, OR ELSE BE SENT TO THE OFFICIALS TO BE DEALT WITH. IF SHE DOES NOT SHAPE UP, EXCEPT HER ARRIVAL.
The Diamond sure didn't seem like she had high hopes for the Gem. Jadeite sighed, when were the Diamonds going to finally get things right? Jadeite slunk back in their seat, musing what it'd be like if every Gem was what it was grown to be. Pearls would be loyal, Jadeites wouldn't turn out puny, Obsidians wouldn't turn out with the fear of the dark.
Jadeite rolled their eyes, could you believe that an Obsidian was frightened by the dark? They were built to be Gems of the shadows, slinking around every corner to get their opponent killed, shape shifting into the fearsome wolf packs they were known to change into and hunt with.
Ah, let's hope this is an easy case. Get them shattered, fused or fixed, Jadeite silently prayed, no emotional attachments. Remember, you don't care.
