I ran straight home, my mind replying the way you said my name.

It had sounded so familiar, "Jayla" I missed the way it felt to hear my name leave your lips, but now hearing it only hurts.

Why did you leave me? I never got the chance to ask you, and you never tried to tell me. You simply left me a note in my locker and that was the end of us.

I still have that note tucked under my bed; you can no longer read it, my tears have long ago smudged the ink.
