Back to modern times~
He finally of that day again – the day that his only friendship that he ever had been ruined; a day he had always blamed himself for. However, that is what his heart was trying to force into his head, and he had stopped listening to his heart a long time ago.
"Come on~ Something like that won't happen again~" the raven-haired man pried.
Takara stopped walking, finally reminiscing on the incident that she hoped never to remember. She looked up at the man, who now wore a serious look, no matter if he actually was serious or not. "How am I supposed to ever trust you again?" venom was in her words.
"For one, I'm not too fond of being called the 'devil' again." he placed his hands behind his head and walked beside the brunette.
"Tch. I barely trusted you in the first place. I let it go for, what, a mere ten minutes? And you go ahead and satisfy your perverted desires." she had begun to rant.
"What else do expect from a high school boy?"
"Some decency." she sped up, hoping to leave Izaya behind her, but was unsuccessful. He continued to walk beside her.
"I told you it wouldn't happen again! Please come wo -" the brunette interrupted him.
"No!" Takara's voice was finally raised.
She could see the raven-haired man pout. "But~ There's a scar on my lip, you know. From when you bit it." he began to finger his pouted lip.
"You deserve it." she mumbled.
"Wish I'd known you were so frisky~" he teased, resulting in a heel wedged into his boot. He squeezed his eyes shut as he winced. "And I know that I deserve to be despised by every bone in your body." he went on.
"Clearly."
"But~ I don't want to accept that you are going to hate me for the rest of your life." he continued. The woman sighed.
"You're not going to get everything you want in life." the curly-haired girl stated matter-of-factly.
"True, true~ But I can deal with most things. You ignoring and despising me, however, I cannot deal with." the slight song-like tone was back in his voice.
"Learn to deal with it. I'm not any different from any other person who hates you." she mumbled.
"But you are~ You are my favorite human after all." Izaya sung.
"And you are my most despised human, after all." Takara retorted.
"Guess this'll have to be forced then~" a smirk returned to the raven-haired man's face. A hazel glare was received from Takara, but he proceeded with his plans anyway. He walked behind her and picked her up. One hand supported her legs while the other held her back. Out of shock, the woman threw her hands around Izaya's neck to keep herself from falling.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?! I don't like you, remember?!" she screeched. They turned around and the raven-haired man began to carry her in the opposite direction. She knew where she was being taken, and she definitely didn't want to go back: Izaya's apartment.
"Which is exactly why I am going to change your opinion~" he began to skip.
"Nothing is going to change my opinion." she spat.
"I will do everything I possibly can to make you forget what happened six years ago, I promise." a tone of seriousness was noticeable in the raven-haired man's voice.
-----------------------
Several minutes passed before they reached the dreaded place. Her body tensed when they walked through the metallic doors. Izaya set the woman down on his leather couch, where she immediately sat up and crossed her legs and arms, making sure it was nearly impossible for the man to get a hold on her.
"Don't be too tense. It's weird." He said as he retrieved some soda from his refrigerator.
"How can I not be?" Takara cautiously took her soda from his long hands.
"I told you I will try to make you forget it. I don't like what happened either." Izaya took a sip of his drink.
"Please; all you got out of it was a scar." the brunette rolled her eyes. She had no desire to talk of such a topic.
"And I saw you cry... I saw something I never want to see on your face again." he began to mumble uncharacteristically.
"What the hell were you thinking when you tried that stunt?" she questioned, careful not to raise her voice too much. After all, he did seem to be trying.
"For once, I was thinking like a normal boy. I wanted... someone. I wanted to kiss a girl, and I wanted to be kissed." his auburn eyes were hidden.
"So you decided that you could sexually harass me." Takara clenched her jaw out of irritation, but she didn't want to show too much because she knew that for once, Izaya was being open and honest.
"I really don't know how to say things in conversations like this..." he trailed.
The brunette decided to reach out and open up per say. She wasn't a particularly social human being, but she hated burdening and hurting others, though her words usually possessed venom. She shakily reached out her free arm to the insecure man. She froze a few times in the process, questioning her own motives. When she finally mustered enough courage, her hand reached his broad shoulder. A hint of shock flashed in his auburn eyes as he looked up at the girl.
Then, Takara was surprised beyond belief. Izaya's eyes began to water as he finally listened to what his heart had to say. A trickle of salty water trailed down his pale cheek. The curly-haired woman knew that it was the time to let all instincts and personal conflicts subside. She pulled the man into a hug as he sobbed into her shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Taka-chan..." he said between sobs. She didn't know whether to forgive him or not, or if she ever could.
"It's Takara." she mumbled.
Izaya began to pull himself away from the warm hug and the two looked at the sincerity in each other's eyes. Takara knew what she had to do. Though she was unsure of how she felt about it, it had to be done.
She pressed her lips to his. It was quick, but it told him what he needed.
"Now, you've been kissed."
