I don’t even know what’s funny on my idea of a date. Seriously. What is wrong with her? She keeps laughing about my ‘zoo’ thing. Crap, I don’t get her.
“Seriously, Nate? A zoo?”
“Stop it.” I said trying to focus on driving. She cracks up. What the hell?
“You know I love you, sucker.”
I looked at her using my peripheral vision and a smile escapes my lips. An hour later we arrived at the city’s well-known animal zoo.
“Refrain from smiling okay?” she suddenly said while leaving the car.
“Why should I?” I asked curiously.
“Because women might get the wrong idea.”
I laughed. “Seriously, Abby, you’re with me. I don’t think they’ll even think I’m still single.”
She rolled her eyes. “Just do me this favor, please? For pete’s sake.”
I grab her waist and pulled her closer to me. “Okay, alright. Don’t be such a grouch.” I said leaning over for a kiss but she pulled away.
“Will you stop Nate? Daming tao oh.”
“So what?”
“There are kids, hello?”
I smirked. “Just give me a kiss.”
“Stop it!”
I cocked my eyebrows. “Come on, it’s not like I’m asking for a French kiss. Just a simple kiss.”
“May sira kana ata.” Sabi niya na parang hindi makapaniwala. I almost laughed.
“I’m not going to let you off.” I threaten. Mas hinigpitan ko yung hawak ko sa bewang niya. Nanlaki yung mga mata niya.
“Nate!”
I grinned. “I’m serious.”
Her face became pale. Oh fuck, I’m really enjoying this. My grin became wider. Since her chest is way too close to mine, I could feel her heartbeat. “Y—You’re dead, Nate!” I just realize how beautiful she is when annoyed.
“Do or do not.”
“Fine!” she shouted angrily on me. She closed her eyes and brought her face close to mine. Before her lips touch mine she said some of her last words to me first, “You’re really dead!” Then she finally gave me a smack on the lips.
Lovely.
After her lips leave mine I was grinning from ear to ear. “That was great. Thanks.”
Tinanggal niya yung braso ko sa katawan niya. “Now, can we get going?”
“Can we just go back to the house and continue?”
“You’re kidding.” She said glaring.
“Right.” I answered nonchalantly.
When we walked into the entrance, I held her hand.
“Woah.” She said.
“What?”
“Nothing. I just think you’re being sweet right now.”
“Ayaw mo?”
“No! It’s…cool.”
“Good.” I smiled at her then she smiled at me.
“Know what? This might actually be fun.”
“Bakit bigla atang nagbago pananaw mo?”
She looked straight into my eyes. “Simply because you’re here beside me, idiot.”
