"So, (YN), what's your favorite Pokemon?" Your teacher asked. You had just started kindergarten today, and the teacher was having a break-the-iceberg day, as she put it. You were doing nothing but getting to know everyone. The thing was, you were pretty shy, and refused to even go to school at first. Your mom knew how reserved you could be, so she said you could take a Pokemon to school with you. Said Pokemon came from an egg, discovered when your mother's Incineroar was left with another Pokémon at the day care.
"It's alright, (YN), please don't be shy." Your teacher said when you hid your face. You felt Litten, whom was still just a baby, rub itself on your back and slither into your lap. It purred against your face, making you smile.
"Well, I suppose that's obvious.." Your teacher smiled. The rest of the children were looking at you and Litten with jealously; they didn't have their own Pokemon yet. "Oh don't worry, you'll all find a Pokemon you'll be great partners with!" Your teacher assured, seeing this. You weren't paying attention anymore though, giggling as your safe haven licked your face.
