Chapter 7

He pulled up into my drive way and nearly fell out of his car.

"Are you okay?" He said jogging to me.

By the time he got to me I was embraced into a hug. "Yeah... I just don't know what to do. It's still going on. Can you hear it?"

He frowned and nosed his head as I continued to cry into his grey jacket that he always wore.

"Shhh... It's okay.." He soothed me rubbing my back. We stood in silence until he spoke again. "Do you want to go to my house?"

I thought about it... What if it gets worse? I wouldn't know what to do anyway but I should stay.. But I honestly don't want to give myself a headache. I nodded my head and detached myself from him.

"Let's go." He gave me a sympathetic look and opened the passenger door for me.

"Jessica is out with her boyfriend so she won't be back tonight, so if you want to stay you can sleep in her temporary room."

"Thank you.."

"Hey..." He said and pulled me into his room and closed his door. "I'm sorry... I was just having a really bad day.. I wasn't thinking and I regret everything I said. And if you forgive me.. I would like to take you on a date sometime. Maybe tomorrow?"

I smiled a bit and hugged him once more. "Of course I forgive you. I didn't know what you had to go through that day. And yes. I will go on a date with you." I could feel him smile against my hair. We just stood there but he didn't know I was breathing in his scent. He smelled really good.. That sounds weird but it's true.

"Want to watch a movie?"

"Sure."

"What movie?"

"I don't care. Whatever you like. I'm kinda tired so I might fall asleep anyway."

"It's only 7:00!"

"It's just been a long day for me."

"Gotcha. Well I'll be right back. I'm going get some blankets for you just incase and a movie. I'll be back in a few minutes. Make yourself at home."

I nodded and found my way to his bed. It was comfier then I remember. A few minutes later I felt blankets being dropped on me. My eyes flew open as connor held up three movies to pick from. The breakfast club, The perks of being a wallflower, or Elf.

"Elf!"

He put the DVD in and got under the covers with me. For the beginning of the movie we laid with several inches between us until he looked at me and opened his arm signaling me to come over. My head fit right underneath his armpit as I felt his chest rise and fall from laughter and of breathing. I wouldn't mind falling asleep with this.. Much less waking up like it.

My eyes got heavy while I sat up rubbing my eyes.

"Hey.. I'm starting to fall asleep."

"I'll show you her room."

"Are you sure she's not COMJNG back tonight?"

"I'm positive. She does this often."

"Okay.."

I got up and followed connor to the room with "keep out" signs all over the door. Well if she finds me she wi be pissed. He opened the door and the smell of perfume overtook my nostrils and kind of made me dizzy.

"Just sleep on her bed and use her covers and blankets and all. Just make sure you make the bed when you wake up. I'll wake you up in the morning. She usually comes back after I leave for school so it should be fine. Do you have a certain time you wake up?"

"About 6:30 or 6:45"

"No problem."

I climbed in the bed carful not to make myself look uncomfortable.

"Connor?"

"Yes?"

"Where's your dad..?"

"Night shifts. Every other week he switches from day shift to night. He gets off at 7:30 am so don't worry."

He walked over and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead.

"Goodnight, Leslie." Within seconds he was gone and I was in a strangers bed pondering over if I should've left my house or not.
