Jessie's POV:

We've been stuck in the subway for nearly two hours with no sign of help. The only reason why we're out of the penthouse is because I wanted to show Luke that learning could be fun and exciting with some sort of adventure thrown into the mix. Besides, I needed an excuse to go see the Statue of Liberty in person.

"Why couldn't you be like normal people and look up the Statue of Liberty on the internet with facts?" Luke asked in a whiny voice.

"Normal people go out to experience the excitement in person." I tried to explain it to him.

Luke let out a snort. "Yeah, 'cause being stuck in a smelly subway is a great adventure." He said with sarcasm.

"I didn't force any of you onto the subway," I grumbled.

"Technically, you steered us all like a herd of cattle into the subway." Ravi chimed in.

"All eight of your legs and feet function, right?" I asked him.

"Well, yes..." Ravi trailed off, realizing where I was going with this.

"Where's Zuri?" Luke asked, changing the subject.

"Zuri!?" I said a little too loudly.

Zuri's POV:

I had grown bored with standing around in one place and decided to follow Emma at a distance. She didn't seem to notice that I was following her, even though my shoe had met the bottom of the pole and made me stumble forward. Whatever Emma was about to get herself into is no doubt better than what is currently happening back with Jessie. Nothing.

"So, what's your reason for coming over here?" The short blonde asked, looking Emma directly in the eyes.

There was something about the way she stood straight. As though her height didn't define just how tough she actually was.

"I just didn't know whether or not Minkus was actually in the same room as me and my family. He ought to know the rules by now." Emma told her, looking over at Farkle with narrowed eyes.

Farkle let out a dark laugh. "How was I to know the Ross clan would take a bacteria-infested mode of transportation? I remember perfectly well that you said 'I wouldn't be caught dead taking the subway. It's so grody.'"

"I had no choice in the matter." Emma turned her nose up into the air and gave a small humph.

"Then, why are you here?" Farkle asked her again.

Maya's POV:

So, this is what happens when two of the richest families in all of New York City are trapped in a smelly subway. In all of the time I've known Farkle, I haven't seen him get this upset and aggressive. Especially not towards girls that are rather gorgeous looking to the male eye and possibly female if you're really into that.

"Farkle lay off of her," Riley told him gently and gave the girl a huge smile. "Hi, I'm Riley." She outstretched her hand towards the girl.

The lights began to flicker and the subway started to slowly start up again. The girl looked at Riley's hand, hesitating on whether or not she should shake her hand.
