Kelly
Friday, January 13

I texted Bey this morning and told her to meet me at the studio around noon with Michelle. If you ain't know by now, well now you know that I'm gonna put my girls on the song. I think it's the best way for us to reconnect. We have the best bond when we sing together. And I think our fans would appreciate this lil Destiny's Child reunion.

I arrived at the studio around 12:15. Trey was with me, cause I needed someone as a "producer." I entered the room and was shocked but happy to see Bey and Michelle already there.

"Hey y'all," I said quietly. Michelle stayed silent. Bey got up from where she was sitting and hugged Trey then me.

"Hey cuties," she smiled. "So what you have us in here for Kelly?"

"Well..." I sat down on Trey's lap and pulled my notepad out of my bag. "I started writing a song yesterday."

Beyoncé nodded and scrunched her eyebrows together. "So do you want us to give you advice on it or something?"

"No...I want..." I don't know why I was so nervous. I'm acting like we haven't made four albums together. "I want y'all to be on the song."

"Both of us?" Michelle spoke.

"Yes."

"You almost beat my ass twice, and now you want me on a song?" Michelle said, chuckling.

"Twice?" Trey repeated, giving me a look of disappointment.

"I'll explain later," I mouthed to him.

"And why is he here?" Michelle continued.

"Michelle, hush," Beyoncé hissed. "Kelly I think it's a great idea." She reached for the notepad and skimmed through the lyrics.

"Tim?" she asked. I nodded. She knows me too well.

She took out a pen from her bag and began scribbling notes on the page. Michelle, Trey and I watched her for about 30 minutes, and then she passed the notepad back to me.

Tell me why this girl already composed the chorus and a whole second verse:

I can say I'm done in a million ways
But let's not beat around the bush
Let's cut to the chase
When you changed, I changed
But it's too late
Now I'm so through
Too cool on you
And if our love was a game, you just lost
When you changed, I changed
But it's too late

I know you hate to see this look
On my face
I'm sure that you can see real clear
A little lying goes a long way
And if you think I'll waste more tears
Boy you're crazy
And maybe you should get yourself admitted
Don't delay
But you let the ball drop
Too bad for you
But it's okay, boy I'm straight
My whole life's amazing
So I won't pretend to feel bad for you
Cause since you left
I ain't cried since
And boy I like it that way

She handed me the notepad and I started reading the lyrics, with Trey reading along over my shoulder.

"Bey what the fuck!" I gasped. "That was amazing."

"I guess it was ight," she giggled.

"How the fuck did you come up with all that in so little time?"

"Magic," she whispered dramatically.

"Yeah okay," I chuckled. "Michelle, your turn sis."
