PJ's POV

I heard Chris groaning in the bedroom. I had carried him to the bed a few hours ago when he blacked out.

"How are you feeling?" I asked him, nervous for his anwer. If it hadn't worked, I had to start all over again.

Chris looked around, a bit disorientated, and waited some time before he answered. "I feel... different," he spoke. I walked over to him, and when I looked into his eyes, I noticed they weren't as dull; his skin wasn't that pale and didn't have the blue-ish tone anymore either.

I laid my hand on his chest, and felt his heartbeat underneath my touch.

"What happened?" he asked, but instead of answering him, I leaned forward and pressed my lips against his. This was what I've wanted to do for a couple of days, and this time it wasn't a stupid daydream: this time it was real.

"How do you feel, Chris?" I asked again as we both pulled away, our foreheads still pressed together.

"I feel different," he said again, "Almost... alive... but that's impossible, right?" His eyes met mine and I saw a hopeful glistening in them.

"It's not..." I said, smiling at him, "Because I think I have found a cure."
