Dragonet sitter (Glorybringer)

Wont you forgive me?

(Glory's POV)
Avocado's eyes overflowed with tears when he finished telling his story.

"YOU SEE?" He growled, anger filling his voice. "EVERY LAST NIGHTWING, EVERYONE OF THEM MUST DIE."

"STOP!!!!" I shrieked, it was enough to make him stop, but tears were still streaming from his eyes. He huffed in place.

"Please, listen!" I looked into his eyes. "Nightwings aren't the same as they used to be. They aren't mind-readers, future tellers, none of that! They have learned! Deathbringer was the most amazing dragon I ever knew! Sweet, compassionate! Don't you see? Dragons can be more than what they seem!" I finished with my last whisp of breath, and had to take a deep breath after such a long winded speech.

Avocado froze. A million emotions seemed to be trying to escape his snout. It seemed like he understood, he did understand! He understood loss, and missing a loved one. He sprung forward. I jumped back, thinking it was his move to kill me. But he ran right past me. What is he doing...? I watched as he pulled the tree off of Deathbringer's limp body. "What are you-" I was cut by huge gasp for air. Deathbringer scrabbled to get up and started coughing.

"D-DEATHBRINGER?" I yelled and ran towards him.

(Deathbringer's POV)
I laughed as a beaming Glory ran into my arms. "DEATHBRINGER!! I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONE!" Tears of joy filled her eyes.

I had half consciously seen it all. "But where's-" I stopped as a tiny purple dragonet ran and jumped onto Glory's back. "Firefly!!" She held the small dragonet close between us and we all rejoiced. We were reunited again. My family was safe.

All the other dragonets ran past us towards to village, they were safe too.

But out of the corner of my eye, I saw a slender green dragon slip into the shadows.

At least everyone was safe. I'm gonna need treatment for my side, but I'll be okay. I'm glad everything is well, and nothing can go wrong now.
