"Dad I wish so much that mum could be here." She said as she adjusted my flower in my top pocket of my smart suit jacket. Pl
"I know honey, so do I. We will have a minute silence for her in the ceremony." I said, a small volume of water collecting in my eye. Millie started crying "hey hey hey look you'll ruin your beautiful make up." I pull her into a hug.
"Um I hope I'm not ruining a family moment," Amy, Millie's best friend walked in telling me it was time to sit down. I can't believe my daughter is about to get married. I knew I was going to loose it so I had many tissues in my pocket.
Music started, I was so nervous. Three little bridesmaids walked down the isle and I turned back to face the front as I started to cry. A light hand touched my arm. Another offered me a tissue. I looked to see who it was.
I recognised the lady. I took the tissue and thanked her. As my vision was blurred I wasn't sure it was who I thought it was.
I opened my eyes and the lady was dressed in all grey. Her eyes, hair and skin were a lifeless colour. Her hand a light feather, almost ghost like.
No way
It was Rachel
She kissed my cheek and disappeared. I saw a faint light fly into the biggest and prettiest flower. I knew she would be here. I knew she would be with her daughter on her special day. It was so sweet that she was in the prettiest flower.
My beautiful daughter walked down the isle with Rachel's father. I was going to cry again as Millie smiled at me. Her make up perfect, her hair wonderfully curled. I took one look at her and I forgot everything.
"I do"
"I do"An eruption of claps as they kissed made me so proud.
The dinner and the party was amazing. I can't believe this is all happening in my life.
The cutlery clinked gently on the wine glasses and the butterflies went crazy inside my tummy. I was so scared as I had to say my speech.
I cleared my through with a little cough."Hello, I'm max, Millie's father. I loved Millie for many years but I didn't get to see her grow up. I only really met her about 10 ish years ago. Her mother, Rachel was a beautiful woman, I know where Millie got her looks from. I can't really say much else except that I'm very proud of you and I hope you will live a long and happy life together. To the newly weds!" A cheer erupted once more and more speeches were said.
The party was great and I knew a lot of people were going to have a serious headache in the morning.
The rest of my life was a blast, more pets, 2 beautiful grand children and I never saw Neil again.
