Chapter 1

•Enoch's pov•

          As we all sat at the table enjoying our dinner I couldn't get one thought out of the back of my head, where's Miss Peregrine? She said she would be back in time for dinner and definitely in time for the reset. Oh gosh what if she isn't back in time? I shook the thought out of  my head, she'll be back in time.

"Whatcha thinking about." Cooed Olive as she leaned closer to me. Her faced dropped, probably because of the discussed face I gave her.
"Nothing." I muttered not wanting to talk to her.
Suddenly the door to the dinning room opened and Miss P came in with a girl around my age in her arms. The girl looked exhausted and she brought her over to the empty chair next to me and sat the girl down.

Man she was beautiful. Wait did I just call her beautiful? This girl who I don't even know and her nice light brown hair and soft hazel eyes, her slim body and lightly tan skin. Stop stop don't think about her, she'll never love you anyways I told myself. No one ever will. The girl looked around nervously, she had very dark eye bags.  I wondered when was the last time she slept or even ate.
Miss P cleared her throat "this is Katelyn Marie she will now be staying with us, so if you don't mind introducing yourselves."

•Katelyn's pov•

Ugh I'm so tired and sore, hopefully this doesn't take too long so I can go bed.

A boy with a hat like those bee keepers wear spoke up first, "hi I'm Hugh! I have bees living inside me." I smiled simply at him and he gave me a toothy smile.
"I'm Clair." A little girl with curly blond hair chimed, " I have a back-mouth." She turned around and showed me the mouth and all of its sharp teeth.
"I'm Olive." Said a girl around my age with red hair, "I can manipulate fire." Instantly there was a small flame in her hand.
An innocent looking girl with short brownish reddish hair looked over at me "I'm Bronwyn I'm as strong as ten men!" She said as she flexed. She didn't look that strong which made me smile a little more.
"Hello there," said a sharply dress blond boy, "The name's Horace I have prophetic dreams. It's a pleasure to meet you." He nodded toward me.
"I'm Fiona I can grow plants instantly." One last girl said.
"Hey don't forget me, just because I'm invisible doesn't mean I'm not here." Came a voice form and empty chair, that made my jaw drop open.
"What never met an invisible boy before? My names Millard." I managed to close my mouth and smile kindly at everyone.

"Not much of a talker aye." Said Hugh, I just shook my head. "Maybe you'll have a chance with this one Enoch, she's just your style." I felt my cheeks grow slightly pink as I looked at the boy next to me, he was cute. He had dark brown curly hair, dark brown eyes, and a pretty fit body. He glared at Hugh but continued to eat his dinner.
"Introduce yourself please." Miss Peregrine asked sternly. The boy rolled his eyes.
"I'm Enoch." He said flatly not even bothering to look at me.

"So," Bronwyn started trying to fill in the silence, "what's you peculiarity?"
"Yeah what is it?" Asked Fiona. Everyone's eyes, besides Enoch's, fell onto me.
"Peculiarities, to be exact. I'm telepathic, I can't really die, and I can sorta bring things back from the dead." I told them. This got Enoch's attention and he looked up at me.

"Wow I was right, she is just your style Enoch, she can even bring things to life." Hugh laughed. Instead of rolling his eyes or making a rude comment a small smile escaped his lips but went away quickly. Enoch and I made eye contact for a brief moment, 'She is so cute.' I heard his voice in my head. Wait does he think I'm cute? My face turned a bit pink at his thought.
"Ok that's enough children let's let Ms Marie eat ok?" Everyone went back to eating, I reached for my spoon and tried to scooped some soup up. But  my hand started shaking so badly that I dropped the spoon. I tried again but failed, I was just too tired and sore to do anything. I reached out and took my spoon to try one more time when Enoch grabbed my hand.
"Here let me help you."

•Enoch's pov•

I made eye contact with Katelyn, 'she is so cute.' I thought to myself. Her face turned a slight pink, oh crap did she just see or hear what I thought?

"Ok that's enough children let's let Katelyn eat ok? She began to try and eat but she kept dropping her spoon, she was too fatigued to even lift her spoon. Before I knew what I was doing I reached over and grabbed her hand.
"Here let me help you." I said said as I lifted her hand and she ate the soup.

I heard Millard and Hugh whisper then snicker, but I ignored them. I helped her until Katelyn was completely done, she shakily wiped her mouth and said "thank you, Enoch." Her soft voice made me feel pleased and I smiled. I looked over at Olive to see she was giving Katelyn the death glare, that's probably not going to end very well.

Miss Peregrine dismissed us and asked if I'd help Katelyn to her room while she reseted the
Loop. I put one arm around her, afraid she would be uncomfortable if I carried her, and led her to the extra room a couple doors away form mine.

A/n sorry about all the pov changes

He walked me over to my bed and I sighed at the nice feeling of laying down in a bed he mumbled something that sounded like 'good night sweet dreams' but I wasn't for sure.
"Wait," he stoped and looked at me, "I was wondering if maybe tomorrow you would like to hang out? Or something." He smiled softly, which made me blush a little. He was just so darn cute.
"Yeah I would love to." And with that he turned off the lights and shut the door. I concentrated on Enoch for a moment and heard the voice in his head 'I get to hang out with Katelyn tomorrow? She so pretty and-' I stopped listening to his thoughts getting too jittery at the thought that someone liked me and drifted off to sleep.

He thinks I'm pretty...
