Forgive you

You

Lapis walked into the barn calling out to peridot.  'I feel like I'm going to find her in the weirdest place imaginable,' lapis thought.  After ten minutes of searching high and low and in every nook and cranny including boxes which weirdly enough peridot loved hiding in there was no sign of that Dorito look-alike anywhere. Suddenly The Warp pad goes off catching the attention of the blue gem, "Steven!" Lapis called out, jumping from her hammock in the barn and flying over to him giving him a hug followed by lots of laughter before they separated.

"what are you doing ?" He asked smiling at lapis taking notice how far she's gotten accustomed to living on earth, even going as far as making meep morps with peridot. 

"I was just looking for peridot," Steven looks at lapis with a goofy grin and starts laughing so hard he snorts. Causing lapis to laugh, when they stopped he explained that peridot was at the temple.

One Warp Pad Journey Later~

Upon arriving I saw lots of familiar faces including one she never wanted to see again.

"Jasper ?!" She whispers in Steven's ear, "What's she doing here I thought you bubbled her!" She said the painful memories of being stuck in a force fusion with him. 

"Relax lapis he won't hurt us..", he explained trying to calm her down, looking at the tall gem in their living room. 

'did he really change? he looks like a completely new gem', lapis thought. Lapis couldn't help but look up at her now neat mane of hair that seemed brushed and how her uniform now had a star on it. 'Snap out of it lapis he's a brute he's trying to manipulate you.. don't fall for it!' she told herself and sighed, keeping a distance from the large gem. 

Jasper's Flashback~

Jasper walked onto the beach and saw Steven there, 'I finally give up,  The diamonds have forgotten and abandoned me here..fighting these gems is pointless' Jasper tells himself and as he approaches the beach were there base is located,  walking up the wooden stairs each step causing the wood to creak and bend. Heavy thudding footsteps approaching the door, before being opened and the orange gem walked in, the fusion looks at me with a calm expression while the pearl and the runt quartz are prepared to fight. The fusion telling them to calm down, of course, they trusted her judgment and they all began to explain what becoming a crystal gem meant that I would protect the earth and its inhabitants and blah...blah...blah.

"Welcome to the crystal gems," Garnet announced and patted Jasper on his back to congratulate him.

Flashback over~

Jasper walked up to lapis and got on his knees and held both her hands looking up at her and gave her probably the most sincere apology he could even say. Practically begging for her forgiveness since he caused her such tremendous pain and suffering. 

"I forgive you.. but if you so much as harm a hair on Steven's head, ill chain you to the bottom of the ocean and leave you there to finish rotting." Glaring into her eyes and making sure she backed away and took the threat seriously. 

"I don't think you would, you'd miss me too much~" He gave her a flirty smirk which earned a slap to the face from lapis,  he changed his voice and made it sound like he was in pain. "Lapis that hurt... can you make it feel better?" She rolled her eyes annoyed but she obliged and gave him a hug then a kiss on the cheek to tease. "Aha! I knew you had feelings for me I felt it when we were malachite, and now im certain of it!"

Back at the barn peridot was on her tablet talking to Steven, she hadn't noticed that lapis was pacing back and forth though. "Ugh that Jasper why does he mess with me like that, when I see him im going to punch him back into the sea." she mumbled to herself until she heard a fit of chuckles belonging to peridot and Steven. "what are those two up to now?" Lapis said to herself and flew up to where Steven was video chatting with peridot, "Hey Steven!" Lapis exclaimed through peridots tablet, pushing her out of frame. 

"Hi, lapis wanna come with me to the pool it'll be fun!" He shouts getting super excited and happy go lucky like he always is.

 "No thanks, I'm good here, besides don't you live next to a beach?" She asked wondering why'd he want to go to a smaller body of water for no reason. 

 "why not please!" he begged, not letting her know what his true intentions were.

"I give in alright! I'll meet you at the temple..", lapis sighed just hoping this would be a way for her to relax about the whole jasper ordeal. 

"Thanks so much, lapis bye." He said softly and with a dorky smile on his face before making a heart with his hands. 

"Bye Steven~" and with that, he ended the video call.
