My Unexpected Hero (Sam Pepper Fanfiction)

Chapter 15

*Perrie's POV*

 I rolled of the hard metal bed , rubbed my eyes and quickly prayed to myself that when i open my eyes , all of this would be a dream. I hesitantly opened my eyes to be disappointed. I stood from the bed and walked over to the door that was wide open. I peeked down the stairs to see if i could see anyone. " dad ..? " I called down the descending stairs.

I walked down the stairs to only have my nose filled with the disgusting smell of cigarettes. "HEY" his loud yelp made me jump. "What are you doing down here?" he asked with his eyebrows knitted together. "w-well i was maybe hoping i could get something to eat." i asked trying to sound nice so I could get breakfast. "fine. but hurry up and go back upstairs." i mentally high fived myself. I grabbed a apple, a brown banana and a piece of toast. Hurrying up stairs i heard him call after me "i'm going out for awhile, so no silly business cause i will, find out." i yelled back giving him the ok to leave.

I sat down on the springy bed, enjoying the only meal i will have till he gets back. I was lucky enough to have gotten a book shelf in my room or so i should call it "prison cell". I whipped open a book that look interesting.

 "She made my heart swoon at just the sight of her. It kills me to know she will never love me. She loves him."

The story line reminded me to much of the situation between Sam, Alfie and I. I have really screwed things up with Sam big time. I wish i could somehow get out of here and run to him and apologies and make up and everything would be perfect. But no. This isn't a fairy tale. This is my life, it isn't that easy ... or so i thought.

I walked to the cracked mirror hanging on these plain white dirty walls. I wiped the tears from my face and fixed my hair, i pulled the bobby pin from my hair ..

~FLASHBACK~

"hey Sam?" i called after the boy running down the hall at a fast pace. He heard my voice, and slid his feet to a complete stop. He turned around towering towards me.

"yeah?" he asked with his angelic voice. " I forgot my lock combination , and was wondering if you could somehow help me unlock it. He looked at me puzzled on how i could forget my combination. " I guess... you got a bobby pin?" I hesitated but pulled the black bobby pin from my brown locks. "perfect" he said with that perfect smirk of his.

 I watched in concentration, watching how he turning the pin in many different directions to pick the lock. With one more turn, the lock opened. I sighed in relief , knowing i was no able to grab my stuff. He handed me back the pin and started walking down the now deserted hallway. " hey Sam!" he turned around giving me the 'what do you need now' kind of look. " thanks " he gave me one last smile and was on his way.

~END OF FLASHBACK~

 i silently did a happy dance and ran over the window. They all had locks on them, similar to the ones our lockers. I plied apart the bobby pin, biting off the soft bump at the end of it. Remember exactly how Sam did it , i moved the pin in many different directions and the lock flew open. I pushed the large would pieces in front of the window out of my way. I looked out to feel the cool breeze rush through my hair. I hopped out and walked across the roof, looking for a painless way to get the ground.

I decided just too jump to the grass , and tuck and roll. I have seen them to that millions of times in the movies. But their stunt doubles and- I snapped myself out of my ridiculous thoughts moving myself along so i don't run out of time. I hoped down , closing my eyes tightly and cringing my nose. I hit the ground. I slowly opened my eyes to see i was still alive. I patted myself on the back.

I picked up the bag i had brought with me and slung it over my shoulders, I walked of the property and walked to the end of the long drive way. i walked out to the empty, very long road. I took a deep breath in and started my long journey home ..
