"Nooo!"
"Ha! I win again!"
"No fair! How are you so good at this game Brittney?" I ask as I head toward the kitchen to grab chips.
"I'm not sure, I just play it a lot with my brother, I used to loose to him, but I got way better and now I hardly ever loose." She spoke as she followed me to the kitchen.
For some reason the four of us never really hung out outside of school anymore, but Brittney always made it a goal to come over atleast twice a week to play video games with me. Anna always seemed to be busy and James was always creating something new. Things aren't the same as they were a few weeks ago. I wish I had met them sooner than I did because then maybe things would still be the same as they were. The weekend flew by and it was time to return to school. That morning was rather strange, considering two things I never expected happened. First we got another new student and second we had to have a fire drill.
Later that evening when I got home, I was welcomed by my grandparents standing on the porch and a black and purple car sitting in the driveway. I figured my granddad went and bought me a new car since the one I had was rammed into and wouldn't always start...sadly I was wrong. I walked in the house with them, wondering why they were outside.
"So what's going on? Why were you both waiting for me on the porch?" I ask stopping in my tracks. "Is everything OK?".
"Yes, everything is fine, we just want you to meet someone this is very important son, so pay close attention." My grandfather spoke as he placed his hand on my shoulder motioning me into the family room.
Once we got into the family room I saw a girl by the window with short black hair, pale skin, and tattoos all over her arms.
When we got to the sofa, she turned around and said with kindness and a smile that seemed false. "Hi I'm Kayla, it's nice to finally meet you Danny."
What was the reason behind this false smile...I soon noticed that her hand was out to shake mine when I heard my grandfather clear his throat.
"Oh, sorry...it's nice to meet you as well Kayla." I say with haste as I shake her hand. "Why are you here?"
"I see someone doesn't like to delay." She spoke as she put her hand in her pocket.
"Danny...it's time you know where you come from...it's time you know the truth." My grandmother finally spoke.
"What do you mean?"
"Danny...you come from a long line of people who aren't exactly normal...
"Danny what she's trynna say is that you and your family are a bunch of immortal beings." Kayla interrupted.
"Wait! What did you just say?! Is this some kind of joke?" I say with tempted aggravation.
"It's no joke son, you, me and your grandmother are immortals...
"What about my parents? And you...are you immortal kayla?"
"Of course dingus!...in fact that's percisely why I'm here. Danny I need you to come with me please. I have something I want to show you." She spoke with a stern look of seriousness on her face as she walked across the room.
