I woke up extra early because today is Michael's 21st birthday!!! We've been dating for about 10 years now and I always throw crazy parties for him, but since he JUST came back from tour, I decided to do a small gathering with the boys. I woke up our 4 year old son to come and help me set up the small party.
"Mom! I can make a cake myself!" our son, Matt, groaned. I chuckled and looked at him,
"You excited for a new baby brother or sister?" He nodded and smiled widely. For a 4 year old, he is pretty mature.
"I REALLY want a sister! So I can protect her from all those terrible boys!" He said, proudly.
Michael doesn't know yet, and thankfully Matt and the boys kept it a secret until now. I planned a special way to tell Michael. Michael hasn't popped the question, which I am perfectly fine with! I know Michael and I are taking it slow, which is good because if we went too fast, things may get out of hand.
"Mommy? You there?" Matt snaps me out of my thoughts.
"Oh! Sorry honey, let's get started!" I said, laughing a bit. Matt was THE FIRST one I told. Seems crazy to tell your 4 year old son, but him and I are really close. He is truly a mamma's boy. I had also told Calum. Him and I are really close, like siblings! Mali, too.
I hear the door burst open and in comes three man-childs. I run to the front and shushed them.
"You guys need to keep it down! Michael can't be awake just yet!" I whisper-yelled.
They all whisper "sorry." as I chuckled.
I had Calum and Luke fix the decorations while Ashton, Matt, and I fixed the food and activities we planned on doing.
"NO! I GOT THAT FIRST!" I hear Luke screech.
"NO!!! I DID!!!" Calum screeched.
Ashton and I ran out, I trusted Matt on being on his own, all he was doing was making a card while watching Youtube on his IPad mini. Anyways, we ran out and there I saw Luke and Calum fighting over a balloon that they needed to hang up on the wall.
"ASHTON!!!!!" They both yell.
Ashton sighs loudly, "Why do I have to be the dad in situations like these?" I burst out in laughter, watching him grab the balloon and hanging it on the wall.
"Ok...can you guys now BE QUIET!" I hear Matt yell out as he walked in on the scene. We all laugh and go back to what we are doing.
Once we finally get everything up, I had the guys, including Matt, hide in the dark. Calum had Matt, since Matt hates the dark.
I walk into Michael and I's shared room and wake up Michael.
"Babe, wake up. Today is a special day." I whisper, as I shake Michael a little.
He stirs a bit, then wakes up. Looking straight at me while smiling.
"Morning!" He said, hugging me tight.
"Go get ready! I have a surprise for you." I said, smiling back and kissing his cheek.
He gets up and goes straight to the bathroom.
