It was this day that me and my mother got into an argument , this is when I realized that I need a friend someone I can count on. This would be hard cause we just moved back from Ohio and is staying in this little town that I haven't been to since I was 3. The memories of the town shivered up my spine.
"Why are you doing this to me?" I shouted at my mom
"We aren't doing this to hurt you it's a nice town with nice townspeople we can have..."
" A nice life. Yes you've told me this a hundred times but it doesn't give me an explanation".
" I'm sorry but what do you want me to do!" my mother shouted at me
"Tell me why my dad took us to this place. Why does he want to be in this little town people call Redwood! I was happy!
"No, you weren't happy. People made fun of you and were mean"
" I don't care! I had friends, best friends and I had to leave them because of you and dad!" My voice started cracking at the mention of my friends
"I'm sorry, but it was for the best"
"No, it wasn't you were thinking of you guys and how you guys can have a nice life not me or you would have asked me instead of telling me on the last day of school!"
"We were not! And I don't deserve such disrespect you are 13 years old, young lady!"
"This is not disrespectful compared to what you and dad did to me,I never wanted to move and you guys wanted to be here because your friends were moving here! You wanted to be with them! You don't even care about what happens to with me! I should just leave!"
My words shocked my mother the last sentence seemed to sink into her head.
"If you feel like that maybe you should leave! This disrespect is why no one wants you around anymore!
"What! Why would you say that!
My voice cracked ready to cry but I wouldn't do it in front of my mother. I was barefoot and in pajamas but I didn't care I ran outside it was freezing , I had to keep moving because my body would be to cold if I didn't move.
My feet hurt so I slowed to a walk I had no idea where I was, but I knew I would have to go back. I kept walking. My mom was right about kids being mean but my friends made me feel better so they didn't bother me anymore. Now I had no friends and I would have to start school in two days. I need a friend or someone I can be with who I can care about and they can care about me.
I was thinking about this when a horn honked at me. I looked over at a silver Volvo who's passenger window was going down.
"Hi!" The man said. He looked to be in his thirties
" I saw you walking you look lost. Do you need help?" The man continued
I know I shouldn't be talking to him but I didn't care he's seemed nice.
" Yeah, I could I'm new in town my parents are Mrs. and Mr. Williams"
"Yes, I know them I went to high school with them. I saw the house they'll be living in. Can I give you a ride?"
"Yes, that'll be very nice." I opened the door and went into the warm car.
"I'm Mr. Tanner and you must be Elizabeth Williams your parents talk much about you."
"Yes, and it's very nice to meet you"
He walked me to the door and as I was opening the door he began to speak
"You must be scared of being new in this town, but don't worry you'll make friends"
"I hope so." I thought as he turned around to go into his car
