Broken trust and promises

« I love you for who you are. »
That's what you said, for sure.
Why did you let go of me, when all i did was just being me?
Was not love, maybe. Or in my case, will there ever be?
You left me for her. Why did you ever make me feel like i'm loved, ergh?

All of this was pretence, why did my heart fall for this, hence?
All of this cause me to be tensed.

These memories forever will stay.
All those words you said, you just gave away.

« You'll never have to go away. All those promises, i'll keep, so as for you to never weep. »

Why did you go with her? Why did you find in her?
I bet she has something special, or maybe to you my presence was not crucial.

Baby, i want you to be happy. Even if not with me.
But promise me,
You'll never lie or make her cry,
Like you did with me.
